I think it only requires the formal announcement from Mark Coyle. A good AD will have already secured the replacement and have him ready to be at the formal introduction to the press and fans. I see nor reason for Shafer's retention other than keeping the verbal commits from flipping. If the new coach has any kind of name cache the team may not lose asd many as thought. Moe Neal and Palmer along with the secondary kids are crucial Darius Stubbs offers a lot of good speed.. If the new guy has a very good set of assistants coming with him it would also serve to retain the incoming class.

Bring back Marrone!!!
Hell no Bring back Schwartzswalder. The real "hardnose" head coach inOrange history My youngest son sat on his lap and Ben smiled at him.He was probably think he was looking at a recruit in about 15 years or so.

Hearing he is gone Monday
Thats interesting. One game left and the team gets a one game interim?i presume it will be Lester if Shafer is tired unfeathered on a rail ornate 81 or rte 90 AKA THE THRUWAY. I think he gets the last game of the season before he is terminated "with prejudice".

Love ya Cali, and I hope all is well with you. You might need to patent this one before it ends up on a bumper sticker or a T-shirt.

there is a possibility Shafer is gone Monday, it all depends on what Coyle's definition of a blowout is. From what I heard if Cuse for blow out by NC State he would be gone by Monday. But either way we are going to have a new coach next season.

Coyle has been very silent this season. I think he will wait after BC to make any announcement...

I'm wearing my Cali decoder ring. He had a few typos and the like in his post. Cali meant to type, "I presume it will be Lester if Shafer is tarred and feathered on a rail on Route 81 or Route 90 aka the thruway."

Thats kind of my feeling A win overBC isn't going to change the season Let him finish this season. I only hope the new coach is a top recruiter and a known name or we stand to lose some quality from the incoming 2016 list We all know who they are and how a few are critical in the turn around the new coach faces starting as soon as next year for the coach. I don't expect a radical change but it does depend on a fe factors the new guy guy will be in charge of The middle of our DL was like an automatic garage door opener and NCSU was holding the remote with freeh batteries. The OL played typically poor except for a couple plays like getting Jordan past the LOS in full stride.

surprised me by going all the way and not caught from behind. That shows me something. I just hope it wasn't because the NC secondary was particularly slow. The big Piss off decision was not going for the TD on 4th downWTF do you have to lose at this point. It showed me that "hard nTar and feathered means exactly as it readsWarm or hot tar is applied to subjects body and for further ridicule a bag of chicken feathers is applied to the tar.Often the subject is tied to a railroad tie and carried outside the town limits and left there. If the subjet is able to get loose he is still covered in the tar and feathers making him quite humorous to any and all who encounter him. It also pretty much says "don't come back" Its an expression of derision that is used as a possible action on anyone in Shafer's position. The high ways in Syracuse that I'm familiar with offer the best ways out of town.A bit over the top? in old folk lore?? Sorry that it flew over your head I presumed eveyone was familiar with the term and its consequences!

Im hearing 4 year extension for HCSS

He could be gone but given the opportunity to finish the season.
