So GD STUPID! And uneccessary. Why does everything here have to be so goddamned strange. Even berbers has to do shart the hard way now
I've gotta think he figured "QB's a little banged up, lets get the young guy I recruited some run." Unfortunately the defense collapsed, and Devito looked lost. I think it's defensible, but I don't think we'll be seeing it again any time soon.
Taking Dungey out in the second quarter was the dumbest move I’ve ever seen in football.
True. I was surprised the last time Devito came out. Before that I was okay, but when you're up 13, give the ball back to your star and let him bury them. That part made perfect sense.
The amount of time he waited to put him back in though, weird.
You must not have been a Cuse fan when GERG was around.Taking Dungey out in the second quarter was the dumbest move I’ve ever seen in football.

I didn't think that was dumb. What I found weird was not starting Dungey in the third. What I thought was stupid was waiting so long to put him back in.Taking Dungey out in the second quarter was the dumbest move I’ve ever seen in football.

just becuase Dungey played hurt doesnt mean they wanted to put him back in, but you had to win the game. if pierce doesnt fumble they momentum never swings and we are fine.
My theory. Babers think we are going to get killed all year and wanted to get devito his time without getting him killed. The question is why do you want to get him time so bad
Great question. Maybe he had confidence that the guy that scored on every drive in the first half could do it again. Seems like a heck of a gamble if so.My theory. Our defense sucks too much to treat that lead the way normal teams could treat that leadGreat question. Maybe he had confidence that the guy that scored on every drive in the first half could do it again. Seems like a heck of a gamble if so.
Or he wanted to give TD as much opportunity as possible to see if he could turn it around. Either way we learned where we are today, we won, and we have a slew of things to hopefully fix.

So tired of having slow dbs

I'll go ahead and say it. Dungey does not and will not recognize he isn't invincible. He will not alter his style of play regardless of opponent or score. Dino knows this. Last night was an attempt at two things. Protect Dungey from himself in an early game. Get Devito quality reps in a real game situation with a cushion to play with because he feels it's likely the kid will have to do it with the game on the line at some point this year.Surely you know the answer to your question.
It couldn’t be more obvious. Babers will not say the words. But what he must be thinking is apparent by his actions.

Are you suggesting Babers is intentionally going to tank this year so we get more ping pong balls for the lottery this offseasonMy theory.
