having said that we are in a tough stretch for this weekend. no southerland. our bench is keita, cooney and some walkon. it is a bad place to be in. most likely we go 0-2. 1-1 would be fantastic and 2-0 would be legend. get your together because this could be a tough weekend.

Oh ye of little faith.

defeatist crap. 2-0. Just win, baby.

I was on record right after of predicting a 3 L streak (since deleted, apparently ) I am not changing it.

Realist.

Hope I am very wrong. Even 1-1 would be great.

Hell we beat Louisville and Cincy without James (I dont even factor in DC because he is totally irrelevant...lets face it).

I agree. We are going 2-0. Puck Fitt.

I remember the team when Derrick Brower was the 6th man, and there was no one else. I still remember Derrick C waving to JB to come out because he was sucking air, and JB just waving him on

We had a better starting 5 then.

That said, 1-1 would be a disappointment. 0-2 would be very disappointing.

Rak starting and getting close to 30m with Baye as the back up will help that position imo. The problem is more cj or jerami getting into foul trouble.

Most likely is 1-1. I may regret saying this by Monday, but ND is a decent team, but nothing special.

If we go 1-1 and we get James back on the appeal, we'd be the clear favorites to win the league, I think.

I think Jack Cooley is going to give us some trouble underneath

Even if he doesnt' come back, who are the favorites?

Marquette? Can they really keep it up?
Louisville? They've looked horrible the past 2 weeks
One of those teams in the middle with 3 losses? Pitt? ND? GTown?

I'd probably say we'd be the favorites.

Lol at 3 game losing streak.

this is bad karma

Please please please bump this on Tuesday after two wins. I will be happy to take ridicule, but the "really bad feeling" cliche is sometimes correct, and I just really have a bad feeling. Sometimes it is wrong and the team surprises me that makes it fun.

I know this, If I see Jim !%$^$# Burr again, I am just going to shut it off and enjoy my day and check the score later with crossed fingers.

You can always watch it again. but man now sometimes that old $%K gets me a little psychotic in games and I start spewing vulgarity and vitriol that would makes Eddie Izzard blush through his rouge

I digress...

Still, bad karma.

'Ville is a very good team and it just happened to them.

Its not just him. Brey finally got smart and shelved Scott Martin who was useless as tits on a nun out there given he was injured and couldnt move. This will be a tough game for sure. Need to rebound like hell the next 2 games.

Yeah, probably. But I guess I'm saying I'd be a LOT more confident with James back. For instance, Louisville lost 3 games in the last few weeks, but Nova looks better than we thought, they lost by 1 @ Gtown, and by 2 to us. Looking at their schedule, other than the road trip to us, they go to Notre Dame, Rutgers, USF, and Depaul. Not a lot of tough ones there. They have Marquette on Sunday, say they beat them to go to 6-3. We split, we're 7-2. They're one game back, but they seem to have a much more manageable schedule than we do. It would probably come down to the game where we host them, and with a 7 man team, I'm not sure how confident I'd be.

The players need to understand they need to really limit their fouls. No cheap fouls from:

a) reach-ins 30 feet from the basket
b) falling for pumpfakes by non-shooters from 15 feet
c) trying to draw charges and flopping (I'm looking at you Baye)

We have the same team that beat #1 on the road. Coleman (although he did get a suprising 10 mins that game) has been a non-factor all season. Most of the minutes he gets is just because he's a 1)Mcdonalds AA (starting), 2) Attempts to develop him (blow outs), and 3) foul trouble (only really hurt us in the Nova OT game).

That being said I put @Pitt as a loss every year when I do my predictions. Think a 1-1 spilt would be good, not great.

I think 1-6 we are more talented than both Pitt and ND, therefore I EXPECT to win both games. I don't understand how one overtime lose in a game we should won can lead to so many pessimistic views on the next two games.

You could say that about a lot of teams in todays' CBB.
True, but there weren't many better starting 5 than that team in any year: DC, Sherm, Seikaly, Thompson and Roe.
