i've never cared less about the other teams in a bracket

lots of years there is talk about this or that matchup but this year, none of it matters. if we can start throwing the ball in the goddamn basket we can win it all. if we play like we've been playing, we'll be out the first weekend. so boring to talk about. when they're great, what's there to say? you just enjoy it. when they're terrible, it's not hard to figure out why they're terrible

So I remember liking this post & inexplicably not hitting 'like'.
Boy how right was this?

It sounds so lame to take credit away from Dayton. They're probably the least annoying team that's eliminated us in at least a decade. Nice underrated program in a nice underrated conference. Likeable coaching family. Players seem like decent enough kids. And they beat us fair and square. So good for them.

So now that we have that out of the way - if we're being honest, they are just, the ultimate team full of 'Jags' [just a guy]. 44th in kenpom does not indicate they were an unlucky team that was better than their record or their seed, nor does the eye test today. And it didn't even look like they were playing over their heads.
We could've lost to Lemoyne in this tournament. Yup, all the seed/bracket talk sure was a massive waste of time.

Especially because apparently we could've been 26-8 and been the 7 seed in the East and gotten Buffalo and MSG. Who knew?
