Jackson Meeks to NFL Draft

I've obviously enjoyed watching him play this year.
I've also really enjoyed how thought out his answers were in pressers, how he carries himself, team first guy, humble.
Just very composed/poised - just like his declaration letter.
A hell of a testament to what playing for Coach Fran can do for your football dreams as well as setting you up for success in life. Good luck, young man!

Agree with all of this. There are a lot of likeable players on this team. Props to Dino and now Coach Brown for assembling a team with a lot of high character kids.

But I am not sure there is anyone on the team more likable, more impressive in the way he handles interviews, assignments on the field, etc. than Jackson Meeks.

His parents did a hell of a job raising him. No idea what the future holds for him but I expect he will be a high achiever. It has been a real pleasure to follow Jackson during his year at Syracuse.

This ^^^ Easily my favorite player this past season. You can't teach what he brings to the field. LA has the same stuff. I think Meeks finds an NFL roster. He can show some nice tape. I could also see his value on special teams. Dude has no qualms about playing physical.
Edit: ok maybe not easily. LA, McCord, Pena all up there.

One of my favorite moments from Meeks this season was near the end of the first half against Pitt. The offensive line was not playing well and Meeks went down the line and gave each lineman a shove in the chest.

Fundamentally our best wide receiver.

Strong, tough, great hands. Great route runner.

A catch is made because of the work put in before the pass even leaves a QB’s hands and Meeks excels at that.

You need a 3rd and 7 converted? Jackson Meeks is the guy.

Really easy guy to root for. Not the biggest, not the fastest. But played hard, played tough and ended up with a 1,000 yard season. Great leader who made us a better team. Wish him nothing but the best.

He was amazing, 50/50 ball had no meaning to him ! We will be rooting for you JM !

Hell of an exit statement, that!

Was a nightmare he was to cover... Countless times this year his cover guy was on him like white on rice... McCord threads a dart to him and he catches it with hands on him, hands up in him, etc. Didn't matter - He simply came down with it.

Great route runner and glue hands. Good luck, lad.

Always cool to see a guy that was overlooked / undervalued get his shot and excel with it. Thanks for a great season Jackson and hopefully we’ll have an heir apparent, because we lacked a tough physical receiver like this for a long time.

I guess it’s a thing now to officially declare for NFL despite being out of eligibility?

It’s Meeks though so it can slide. Reminds me of a Hines Ward. He certainly has an uphill climb to make a PS but if there is someone I’m hoping to do it and will find a way if he can it’s Jackson.

It is a thing as it allows the player to thank their coaches, teammates, family etc. Plus not all of their social media followers will necessarily know they are out of eligibility.

Fantastic!
I can see him sticking with an NFL team - not only can he catch but he has years of special teams experience.
He is a warrior and I think is near the top of the country in contested catches.

Meeks is the definition of a football player. Not the top of the measurable list but when the lights come on and it is game time this guy can flat out play. Clutch, gamer, baller. Winner both on and off the field. I will be shocked if he doesn't have a long NFL career.
