No, but if he said he didn't want it when he retired, I don't believe anyone would try and shove it down his throat.Well of course, but has his word become law?

Well yes, however I'm talking about this Duke game. No, but if he said he didn't want it when he retired, I don't believe anyone would try and shove it down his throat.

...So we can all sit here and give our opinion on this, and b!tch and complain about it, but the head coach cant give his opinion?
Well of course, but has his word become law?
...
All I'm asking is if Boeheim's word is law. Is Boeheim a big enough deal now at Syracuse University that they throw out these readjustment plans because he disagrees with it?
Never said he was wrong or right. Never said he wasn't entitled to his opinion.
People on here are mighty defensive when it comes to JB.
I'm just not tracking where the whole "is JBs word law" deal is coming from... He's the Head Coach.. If he doesnt want the court at mid field, I think SU should at least listen... That doesnt make him "bigger then the program" tho... I dont know for a fact, but I'm sure JB would have rather played some of those MSG games in the dome, but we still played in MSG.
I'm not trying to sya anything negative about this.
We all know how big Jim Boeheim is to, not only the basketball ball team or university, but the city of Syracuse as well. I'm just asking if his importance, well deserved and gained through 30+ years of great coaching, is enough to shut down a proposal like this.
Well of course, but has his word become law?
