Thanks. Didn't have a radio on.

Damn your cursed gut! More importantly though, what has your gut told you about Mookie?
A Professor
I don't believe this is right. Fab Melo is ineligible to play, pending appeal. If he were eligible what the heck would he be appealing? Please explain because you lost me.I believe it's been said a few times, but Fab (as far as SU has said) is NOT ineligible. He is appealing something, and during that appeal he is not ineligible, but I assume being held out so the NCAA doesn't come sniffing around if he is later ruled ineligible.
this makes me feel better. professors are all the same people. they want to be in the know, but very rarely are.
they say what they think very smartly, which makes them more believable.
professors dont know any more than we do.

Why would they have a press release saying he will remain on the team? I'm thinking we're gonna get some bad news soon. Just a gut feeling.

I'm still lost. It's been discounted that he was accused of cheating, so this makes no sense. Plenty of people have used the word "ineligible," here and elsewhere. Not trying to argue with you, but I don't understand why you're bringing up a hypothetical involving cheating when we know that's not the case.If (and it's been repeated that this is not the case), but IF he was accused of cheating, he wouldn't be ineligible until proven guilty, but SU/Boeheim could tell him he wasn't playing until the issue was resolved. From all I've read here and elsewhere, no one has used the word ineligible.
But, as always, I could easily be mistaken.

That's right: the full semester...and that's what he's appealing. It's my understanding that he's been deemed ineligible and that would mean the rest of the season (pending the appeal). I have no clue why he would be allowed to practice; that makes no sense at all.I'm using that hypothetical because it's entirely possible for him to be prevented from playing without being ineligible. Anyone who has used the word ineligible seems (at this point) to be engaging in speculation. But again, I could be wrong.
Also, when a player is ineligible, isn't he ineligible for a full semester?
That's "The Professor" but if he taught a class I'd pay attention.

SU ineligible but NCAA eligible?I have no clue why he would be allowed to practice; that makes no sense at all.
If he taught a class, you'd most certainly fail. He talks so fast he breaks pencil tips. No one yet has been able to scribe one of his lecture, even in short hand. His crossover is that deadly.
Interesting that he can practice.
Kanter practiced all of last year with uk means nada imo

if you are appealing technically you are not ineligible until the appeal is over, just like in baseball when they appeal a suspension they keep playing until the appeal is ruled on, but in this case he is not playing in games because they could forfeit those games if he loses the appeal but since he is not ineligible until the conclusion of the hearing he can practice and could play but doesn't for the reasons I statedThat's right: the full semester...and that's what he's appealing.
