@BrentAxeMedia: Boeheim: "If I had anyone else, Tyler Roberson would not play a minute."

Yikes

I dont enjoy pointing the finger w college kids. But it was men against boys the last two games and there was one guy who i thought was most at fault there. Just mo

Roberson has been dog poo for the last few games, but JB's coaching has been dog poo against Pitt for about 14 years. He can stuff that comment about Roberson up his friggen backside. Man that fires me up.
The worst part about Trob is that he looks like he doesn't give a shizzle out there especially when he's sucking it up.

Roberson is a grown man. He can take it.

He's a 21, 22 year old kid who has grown up in this program, he's not a grown man.

Listen, I'm very critical of Roberson and he has been playing like crap and he's been one of the least consistent players to ever wear Orange but JB was way way way way out of line.

Heres the problem, within the JBs team concepts, TRob has one and only one primary responsibility (other than the assumed defensive responsibilities in the zone) : rebound. And these last 2 games we got killed on the boards and TRob barely rebounded. I am not saying JB is without fault. But if that is TRobs primary responsibility and he cant do it. Why would JB put him on the court?

25 minutes. 0 points. 4 boards.

40 year old JB Reafsnyder could have done better.

Hell, even Elvir could have done better, and he wasn't even in the Dome today.

I remember those days..when we had 6'10 6'11 dudes who could just stand around and contribute in some limited fashion. Now it seems we literally cant find tall people to play for us.

Might as well agree to disagree now. The comment will sting, but maybe that's the point. Roberson will come back from it. I absolutely believe that.

Huh? We got guy that is 7-2 on the bench...fab melo was pretty tall. In 2013 we had probably the longest back line in college hoops.

not sure what people who arent on the team have to do with this one

Maybe JB thinks it's a matter of effort. TR has a habit of playing great for a few games then bad for a few. The effort doesn't seem consistent. As a 3rd year player, his offensive skills are what they are and may not get much better...but rebound the ball TR, we know you're capable of doing that.

JB also added that anyone who's been with the program with 3 years should be able to score. He said he gets the same looks as Tyler Lydon but can't score a point.

Even when Robey had that monstarous game vs. Duke JB barely gave him a compliment. Some players need that tough love. Either that or JB is serious that he's only playing TRob because he has no one else.

Frankie had 2 nice layps today, DC is progressing...but Roberson hasn't seemed to developed at all on offense

You're no longer a kid at 20+. An inexperienced adult, yes, but far from a kid.
