Mali got fouled, drew attention, or dished. I agree, our FT is frustrating.

We're not talking about twelve year olds in middle school basketball. After age 15 or 16, no player would want his parent to say one damn thing to the coach. That would be truly embarrassing.

Also, Malachi had 3 points and looked disinterested. There is way more blame to go around then putting it on Roberson.

It's tough to win when you have 2 players, Lydon and Coleman, bring anything close to their A games. Cooney 1-9, Richardson 1-10. Roberson 1 shot and 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. Howard a terrible turnover, a terrible shot with SU down 4, and terrible defense on Artis on his killer 3-point shot. Even Lydon -- 1 rebound in 31 minutes??? The good news is there's pretty much only one way to go after the last 2 poor efforts. Hopefully.

I don't like talking poorly about anybody. i like Mali a lot. More just frustrated I drove up from NYC for annual game and watched that. Very frustrating. From my point of view at the dome he looked open a decent amount and didn't want to shoot and the FT thing blows my mind.

I'm not sure JB's brand of motivation works. He did the same thing with McCullough and that didn't work well either. I'm not sure calling players out in such a negative way is productive or makes a very good impression. Roberson is a big boy but I'd prefer JB motivate in practice or in the locker room. Public shaming doesn't seem like the way to go.

You recruited a tweener SF/PF.
You didn't recruit over him aside from a guy who never made it onto campus.
You play zone 100% of the time (known for being difficult to defensively rebound from).
You might have more credibility if you also said one negative thing ever about a shooting guard who equally as inconsistent.
