Colleges have gone from recruiting four year players to one year players. This year SU will have 3 one year players on the team (and 1 two-year player who may be best player on the team). That's not quite Kentucky, but it rivals everyone else. We should be pretty good.

My guess is that the one year graduate student transfer policy will change soon. Until then, it's a great way for P5's to raid mid majors for players who developed late, have maturity, and want a higher profile for possibly getting drafted or connecting with an international team. Syracuse has been as successful as any P5 in utilizing graduate transfers this year. It will be a tougher market next year.

The NCAA should be sued,out of existence if it tries to change the grad policy. The deal is you play basketball, we will pay for school while you get your degree. Once that is done, no one owes anyone anything.

I agree. It's creating a lot of anger around the NCAA, so it's likely to get changed, or at least tweaked. The NCAA has never been about the rights or interests of student/athletes.

It's become a necessary band-aid in the era of 1-and-dones. SU was just late joining the party.

JB has been on record in the past saying PC could lead the nation in blocks. I don't think his offense will matter a lick in how much PT he gets.

Yeah, I think it will. The alternative front court is akin to what took us to the final 4 -- White, Lydon & Roberson. Lydon and Roberson have each added 10 lbs or more, and will be better equipped to compete inside. If PC brings nothing on offense, there is that alternative.

I am not saying PC has to be great on offense. Simple this -- if he can contribute some, he plays more. And if not, I wonder whether we can have PC and Roberson on the court at the same time.
