Does anyone know what JB's overall record is against Calapari wherever he has coached.

I know we won in Nov. 2004 and Dec. 2008.

I know we lost in March 1992, Dec. 1995, and Nov. 2002.

Can't recall any others, so I'll say 2-3.

I remember the 1992 2nd round loss to UMass in Worcester, MA. At the time it helped solidify their program and him as well. It was one of the loudest venues I remember, and was a virtual road game. Loss was still in overtime, when their center hit is only career 3-pointer to put them up 4 with 30 seconds left.

I think he's beaten him at Memphis since then...but I'd have to look it up.

I remember the 1995 one it was Camby vs Wallace. I remeber being pretty disappointed with that particular loss. I don't know why that one sticks out.

If I remember their guards completely hounded Sims to the point where they couldn't get any offense going. The score was something like 65-47. It was a tournament in Hawaii in December, so it felt like the team had a definite weakness that would be tough to get past. They came back nicely from that though...

Didn't that UMass Win never happen?

I seem to remember that too. Wayne Turner and Epps maybe?

no, it was the two spanish kids. I remember one of them was named Carmelo . . . Traviano or something like that

Just looked up the box score...I think their guards were Padilla and Traveiso. We had 24 Turnovers in that game. The backcourt of Sims, Janulius and Cipolla was just getting their first real experience together.

Oh, on the UMass squads...yep. Sry. Travieso and Padilla.

Wasn't that the freshman year for Jason Hart and we lost Winifred Walton because of a SAT grade that was questioned?

Hart and WW were the next year

Oh I know. Just was confused. I think those guys gave us and Hart problems in Maui or Alaska one year.

That was a tough UMASS team. Donta Bright, Camby, Travieso, Padilla, Dana Dingle. We were toast either way in the NC game as both teams were terrible matchups for us.

If a coach gets his wins stripped does that mean the opponent they played loss is taken away as well?

I was at that game in hawaii. What a disaster. Lets just say the girl I took left early and we never spoke again. and we lost to UMass as well. Plus I got sick. I haven't been back to hawaii since.

no it was during our 95-96 ff season.

we made it 1 game further than they did that season. and thats all that matters.

I was at the f4 but very young... iirc we played kentucky better than they did. i do vividly remember wondering why everyone was calling that semi the real national championship.
