JB was very low key. He complimented Dion and spoke of the need for KJ and Scoop to play well--they did not this game. Highlights included:

1. We have won 8 games coming from behind. We had the time tonight to win but didnt make some plays. The lesson is that when you are up by 8 you can not make a play but when you are down 8,7,5 you must make the play
2. Had 4 TOs in transition that hurt us
3. Brandon's missed FTs hurt
4. KJ and Scoop were not good tonight. Pointed out KJ had one rebound in 33 minutes...neither shot the ball well. They are the senior leaders and they have to play better.
5. When we win KJ and Scoop play well
6. Scorers on the team are KJ, Scoop, Dion and Triche...we need them to make shots. Dion was very good tonight.
7. Last 10 minutes of game we brought it...but you cant win playing 10 minutes
8. Fair will be okay...didnt say why he hasnt done well last two games
9. Dirty is going to get 5-6-7 shots a game. His misses today were made shots yesterday
10. Get two days to rest and get our plan in shape
11. The only thing that matters is the NCAA tournament coming up...not the BET nor the first 30 games...we won the national championship without being BE champs...

If it is a "head cold" than Scoop caught it on senior day followed by KJ tonight. Can't help thinking something going on among ideas:
1. BET doesnt matter (JB) and players played to that thought
2. Team too full of self and thought they could cursh Cincy...won during conference play without Fab
3. Seniors pissed off that Scoop was pulled for most of 2nd half of senior day and 1st round game
4. JB had a coaching fart and forgot to get team up for game and to play good defense in first half

If any of this is true, why the 10 minute push to win...what was Dion, Triche, Fab, and Fair (11 boards) thinking? Did not understand the sluggish play by Scoop and KJ (note did not say anything about mistakes because JB has me convinced that if aggressive and trying and missing shots or playing poorly is okay if playing aggressive--these two guys slept walked thru the game!)

CJ Fair needs to find the weight room in Manley and not come out of it until October. Either that or find a place on he floor to contribute that is not close to th basket. He just isn't strong enough to play down low.

CJ Fair needs to find the weight room in Manley

CJ is fine. He got 11 boards while sick and had to get through Gates somehow to get them. There is a really nice weight room at the Melo center. Why should he go all the way to Manley to work out?
