Jerami Grant: Trailblazers

Wonder is he has any remorse over leaving Denver? He's made a ton of money but I think he turned down a Denver extension and moved on right before the championship.
Eh, he left because he wanted a chance to be The Guy. He got that opportunity in Detroit. Didn’t win but played well.

You gotta take your shots and I doubt he has too much regret over it.

Now he’s coming off the bench again and, surprise, he’s still really good. But allowed to score instead of being a defensive specialist.

See I think the other way. He has to have regrets. He would be very rich either way and he would have played in meaningful games, which he hasn't done since he left Denver.

He wanted more playing time and a different (scoring) role. He got that. Whether he regrets not competing for a championship depends on how important a championship is to him. I don’t know his feelings, but I have heard interviews with NBA players and former NBA players that make it seem somewhat common for players to be indifferent to winning titles.

He also apparently wanted to play for a Black coach in a city with a larger Black population. That was important to him.
