So fun to watch him play. He played a perfect first half. Made the right decision every time he touched the ball. It was a clinic.

I assume foreign players wont have the bad habit of bringing the bal low - so I’m not surprised at that, but his footwork and court awareness are like a guy who’s been playing against high level competition for years.

We’re going to see teams play that pick and roll differently by attacking Joe and Buddy harder. Lville’s bigs were terrible, they chased half assed and made the pass too easy.

But, Jesse is putting up some big numbers and playing as well as any center in a loooooong time. It will help change the narrative that we don’t get bigs the ball.

I can’t remember the last center we had that was so good at the pick and roll with the ability to finish them. Now he’s showing more of his game by kicking passes back out to open shooters. He has improved so much since the beginning of last season. Now like you said he needs to add the 10 foot jumper plus get stronger and he’ll be an AA candidate.

Unlike so many recent bigs he can catch the ball, is decisive on the pick and roll, kicks the ball out to reset, and doesn’t have to dunk to score.

Would love to see him take one of those wide open two handed dunks and do a one handed viscious windmill, that would raise the roof.

At one point a LVille player two feet smaller than him was guarding him. It was odd. The other thing I noticed was all the times Buddy fed Jesse the ball and there was no one around Jesse. He was in the middle of a donut hole. Two strides, dunk. Two strides, dunk.

The crowd loves him!

Agreed 144%!

IF he can put on some muscle and strength, and add a FT line J to his arsenal, look out!

And to be greedy - imagine if he could do a baby hook over either shoulder, like Senior Rak could?
That would be just filthy.

I always had high hopes for this kid. As a freshman, he looked like he had good footwork on the block and good hands and could score. He was just clueless on defense and needed to learn the offensive system and the zone and get stronger. I was a little mystified in January last season when JB wouldn’t play him much. Glad he really came on late in the season. And thrilled for all his success this year. Let’s go win some more games!

Dare I say he's made a bigger leap than Rak did before his senior year? He's a stud
Much much bigger, Rak always had an offensive game simmering.

Jesse was a rebounder/shot blocker center. I think many of us thought Jesse could be a Fab Melo type presence. I don’t think many could have expected this type of offensive game

True he did always have good hands.

Absolutely. As rough as this year has been I have really enjoyed watching Jesse a lot. I also really watching Buddy, but Jesse is really fun to watch.

Especially if he can gain more strength, by the end of next year we may...potentially... be talking about him in the same breath as Rony. Rony's junior year stats were better...Jesse's will undoubtedly finish above where they currently are...but Jesse is converting on around 10% more of his shots than Junior Rony did.

I love how Jesse doesn't mess around much with tossing the ball up. He flushes everything he can. A lot of our past centers have not taken that advantage of their height to do that.
