Jim, Julie, and the Kids back from Miami Vacation. My interaction story with

I will say that I ate dinner at the table right next to Bill Duke, and he seemed like a really nice guy. And he was HUGE. Never bothered him because he was with who I assumed was his wife. And it was one of those finer establishments where dinners were quiet.

Last season, on two different Jet Blue fights from NYC to Syracuse, my random seat mates were Sean McDonough and Gary Parrish. Both were great company. On a flight from Syracuse to NYC a few years ago, my random seat mate was Jim Brown (not a pleasant experience).
The difference between your post and the others here is that Sean, Gary, and Jim are writing posts to tell folks that they sat with CTO.

I'm a bigger JB fan now that I know he's a good tipper

He's described as 5'5", bald, and reputedly...a very generous tipper.

It was a really cool thing. In the 2 months almost i have been working at the airport saw Mike Hopkins at the gate area waiting for his flight to Charlotte we exchanged hi very nice, and Adrian Autry in the terminal getting checked in for his flight to Washington DC.

Great, so Hop is interested in the Charlotte job again?

Saw Rony in the British Airways lounge at Heathrow shortly after our NC. I was on campus for the heartbreak of '87 - so when we finally broke through in 2003, and they showed Rony in the crowd pumping his fist - I got all verklempt. I told him about that and we shared a moment.

(sigh)

oh yeah - and I once shared an Archie's pie with the Pearl. He ate more than his half and I am still bitter.

Must not have invested money in airlines over the last few years?

They have cut capacity (which was insane in the 90's and 00's) and done common sense things like taxiing on 1 engine, cutting unnecessary weight, etc (also not lowering prices as gas lowered :()... to make record profits.

Delta stock has more than tripled in 18 months.
Not to mention charging for every little thing that used to be complimentary.

I'm not sure if I am more surprised that we have a poster that saw JB and family at the airport, or that we have a poster that works at the airport. I think the latter

I wonder if JB has ever snapped at a flight attendant Andy Katz-style for asking him to put his tray table and seat back in their upright and locked positions at the end of the flight.

Then when he got off the plane told the media how she is't ready for first class and delivered one more soda than a dead guy and that he could give 50% customer satisfaction, well, at his age maybe 45%.

I was on a flight once and was bummed that I had the middle seat, until I realized I was sitting between Mother Teresa and Kurt Cobain.
Who had the window seat?

as the oldest boy in a family of 5, when we flew for the 1st time back in either 79 or 80, on a plane with 2 seats on either side of the aisle, i was handed the short straw and i sat next to Kenny Loggins.

we had a great conversation about his tour, he signed all this stuff, got a bunch of records and tapes, took polaroids and other shots...very cool.

but for the life of me i couldnt figure out why he looked so different in his video for the Gambler...

until he whipped out his saxaphone and serenaded you. :D

I once served Stephanie Power's lunch when Hart to Hart was in the top 10. She was in Syracuse doing a fundraiser and happened to stop in the restaurant, at the time there was no one else in the place. She had fish and chips and was as nice as can be.
