He made a smart move. Living in the Rockies in a state that cares about football - and is growing and dynamic. Huge upside - zero downside. Great weather and the only competition is in Boulder (which may not be that much competition ultimately.)

And getting paid millions to do it. I think he won the lottery.

He was in Sun Valley, ID for a few years after UCLA fired him, probably still lives there when not in Storrs. Definitely makes sense, get a chunk of NIL $ and he should do well there. UCONN was a stranger fit than CSU. Surprised he didn't get the Stanford or Cal job but with all the ACC travel those teams do now those jobs kind of suck right now

UConn football means absolutely nothing, which means that while losing to UConn is a very back eye, a UConn coach with back to back 9 win seasons means very, very little to people outside the northeast.
