JMA Dome: The Next Phase

Reading through what's involved in the next phase, installing the chairbacks might be the "easy" part. I can't imagine blowing out side of the Dome and connecting it to the Barnes center is an easy feat.

References the eventual blow out and connection to the arch. Clearly phase 3.
Yeah, this part confused me. Are they saying this will also be completed by 2024 FB season or eventually?

If I’m reading this right, they will contact current STH in the upcoming months for 2024. So probably when they contact for 2023 they’ll ask about the following season for when the upgrades are installed?

We might add a third seat for 2024 in case we have a baby by then, I don’t want to lose our current seats.

We know pretty much every basketball season ticket holder, save Adam Weitsman, is going to be affected by this project.

Football as well but to much less extent.

I suspect your seat location in 2024 is going to be closely tied to your seat location for 2023. I suspect SUAD is hoping people will upgrade their seat for 2023 in the hopes of getting less of a downgrade when we all get worse seat locations in 2024.

I too thought the facility with individual seats looks great.

We should still have a block S at midfield third level for football on both side. Same for the 300 level at midcourt. Probably should do the same on the 300 level end zone on the east side of the stadium for consistency.

My prediction is they go all navy to start and quietly add the orange seats to create block S logos a year or two later.

Saw arm rests on these seats. Don't want them. Hope they do away with that idea. I want more seat and less wasted space for an arm rest. I won't use it. Foolish. Space for a cap holder on one side of the seat...maybe. That might make sense but I suspect it is going to make moving around on the 300 levels to get to your seat harder. And I do not want that.

Some day I may no longer be a spry mountain goat!

Oh, I disagree, need that arm rest. Separation from the slob sitting next to me (probably Millhouse).

It's also where the cup holder will need to go for us front row people.

No cup holders = no deal.

It looks to me like the arm rests are only in the 100 level, wish the pictures were larger

Will there be partial individual seats for 2023? They'll have 3 full months (plus maybe a week) to work on this before the Colgate opener on Sep 2, so it would seem like they'll have to have some of it done. Then do they leave it alone until after 2024 graduation?

I’m indifferent about the cup holders, separation is nice though.

I’m not criticizing but this just seem odd;

SUAD) Hey, are you renewing in 2023?

A) you betcha

SUAD) Um, everything is changing in 2024 you renewing for them too?

Lol. I do get that this will require a lot of planning on their part and I do applaud their efforts to accommodate STH.
