Joe was the best player in New York State high school football the last two seasons. He has some Doug Flutie in him. Has a knack of making things happen.

It’s one thing to totally dominate Long Island high school football and another to do it at the college level.

I thought you just had to report injuries, not that all of your QBs are terrible.

No, you don't even have to release a depth chart. I know a bunch of schools don't.

Looking at Joe's numbers, I would say throwing for 3K yards and rushing for 1k in back to back season in NYS is more impressive than even Carney's video game numbers in TX. Usually with the NY recruits there's always a question of whether they can play at this level and given Fran's comments the answer is "yes." His dad walked on at Penn State and turned himself into a player. He has the bloodlines. He's a stud LAX player too so he's an athlete. Dungey played high school football in Oregon and was thrown to wolves as a true freshman and balled out. Throw Joe out there and see what you get. At least give the community some hope and even if he fails, you know he'll at least be better in the future for the experience.

Depth charts change, especially when you're struggling.

Nothing is guaranteed, but it'd be about as likely as them fining us because Otto is too whimsical.
