Hal Cohen!!If Joe had played on any of Jim's teams from 1976-2014, he would have been a great spark off the bench. Jim always had room for a shooter in those years.

He didn’t come off the bench for Clemson. If Joe had played on any of Jim's teams from 1976-2014, he would have been a great spark off the bench. Jim always had room for a shooter in those years.
and they went to the Elite 8, a starter on an Elite 8 squad, enough saidHe didn’t come off the bench for Clemson.
Ernie Seibert was a starter on a Final Four team, just saying.and they went to the Elite 8, a starter on an Elite 8 squad, enough said
Because they thought he stunk and that JJ would be a major improvement. Turns out he didn't and JJ wasn't. Oh and because he celebrated beating us at the Dome. Why would anyone hate this kid. Maybe I’m uninformed because all I saw was kid trying to do all he could to win for his team.
When he left for Clemson I think he proved himself again. He lacked some physical ability but worked with what he had to win and that is a great legacy I think.
I liked Earnie, a role player who knew his job was to clog up the middle on D. But JG3 was a 2,000 point scorer in his college career, just sayin'Ernie Seibert was a starter on a Final Four team, just saying.
and whipped us at Clemson too, for all intents and purposes those losses cemented us out of the tourneyBecause they thought he stunk and that JJ would be a major improvement. Turns out he didn't and JJ wasn't. Oh and because he celebrated beating us at the Dome.
He was 3rd in offensive win shares, 15th in win shares and 17 in BPM. He was well above average considering there were 75 starters in the league. You have a pretty low bar for “great”. He was a solid starter, maybe a slightly better than average ACC starter, but well short of great.
Not impressed with these “metrics”. He wasn’t voted to any of the three all ACC teams. How many guys in the league were great, then? Was Mintz? He was 3rd in offensive win shares, 15th in win shares and 17 in BPM. He was well above average considering there were 75 starters in the league.
I think you mean 200. He played two years, and averaged 4.7 pts. 4.5 in the FF year.I liked Earnie, a role player who knew his job was to clog up the middle on D. But JG3 was a 2,000 point scorer in his college career, just sayin'
Meant to respond to Dinkyspond.I think you mean 200. He played two years, and averaged 4.7 pts. 4.5 in the FF year.
He was honorable mention. The last guy left off any ACC team. Maliq was the only guy on our team that had close to that same production from our starters. Not impressed with these “metrics”. He wasn’t voted to any of the three all ACC teams. How many guys in the league were great, then? Was Mintz?
Yet Mintz was second team. Not saying JG was bad, but definitely saying calling him great is devaluing the English language,He was honorable mention. The last guy left off any ACC team. Maliq was the only guy on our team that had close to that same production from our starters.
He did and it was easily his best year here. I dont think its unfair to look back and realize it was a mistake to play him out of position his second and third year. I understand he was thrown to the wolves his freshman year and to not fault of his own, shouldn't have seen the minutes he did this so and jr years.Didn’t he play the same position - sg- his senior year 2022-2023 at SU when Mintz was the PG? Joe shot .381 from 3, led the team with a 16.4 ppg that year. I agree he isn’t a point guard. Playing SG did help his stats both at SU and Clemson. Regarding losing weight, I googled and couidn’t find anything about it, whether that means anything. Could very well be true.
Believe he's working out with the Raptors right now.Is Joe going to play overseas or is he done playing ball?
The thread has him going through NBA workouts. I think yesterday he was in Toronto. Is Joe going to play overseas or is he done playing ball?
Metrics > OpinionNot impressed with these “metrics”. He wasn’t voted to any of the three all ACC teams. How many guys in the league were great, then? Was Mintz?
You think Judah had a better year than Joe based on their All ACC team placement?Yet Mintz was second team. Not saying JG was bad, but definitely saying calling him great is devaluing the English language,
Good for Joe.The thread has him going through NBA workouts. I think yesterday he was in Toronto.
Mintz didn’t deserve second team. The guy who stinks who’s going to start at Duke probably should have made an All ACC team.Yet Mintz was second team. Not saying JG was bad, but definitely saying calling him great is devaluing the English language,
Yeah, I always dismiss the metrics when they don't tell the story I want them to tell. Fake metrics! Enemy of my belief system! Not impressed with these “metrics”. He wasn’t voted to any of the three all ACC teams. How many guys in the league were great, then? Was Mintz?
So much fun to litigate this one again. Would really love to speak my mind, but that will get the thread shut down. Or me banned.
