John has absolutely done a horrible job. Keeping and extending Dino. Hiring autry over a national search. Choosing Fran over bob. This is what we will get next year.

If he wasn’t an alum, he wouldn’t have lasted. Fran preaches accountability. Where is it? We have a lax player playing division one at qb and starting. Accountability? We are LAST in run defense. We have had 3 delay of game penalties today. 0 completions in the first half. Yes, you read that correctly. Keeping Robinson as the d coordinator? Did I mention we are last in the acc in run defense?

The grass isn't always greener. Look at all these schools firing coaches..and still owing them big money. Syracuse is fine with the leadership that we have. When Fran won 10 games last year...everyone said Wildhack was a genius! Now, he is an idiot? The demise of this season can be directly related to losing Angeli! This is only year two under Fran but he has lost a lot of his luster from last season. He (& his staff) look totally lost. I know losing your starting QB will be have a big negative impact but the whole team is regressing.

I haven't felt this hopeless about a SU football team since Gerg.

Chesney was my second choice behind Mullen. Chesney is more of a football coach, not just a recruiter. Hes 16-5 and had to replace roughly over 50 players his very first year at JMU.

Fran's trick - and it's a really good one - are McCord and Angeli. Which doesn't happen in the 315, ever. Guy gets hurt, season is over.

I enjoyed the 10 wins and the trip to the Holiday Bowl last year.

Fran can recruit but so what? Give me a coach that knows how to scheme a football team and do our best with the 3 stars he can get in here.

We already have proof he can win if he has the players. He needs to keep stacking talent on both sides of the ball. Nixon was great last year. He’s been worse this year, but anyone would struggle with these QB options.

Defensively, there is very little talent. The best players are the young guys, Samuels, Peal, Antoine, and Tremble. We are terrible up the middle with overall below average at LB and safety play. Robinson certainly hasn’t been impressive, but we don’t have the talent this year, and last season we didn’t have the size for the defense he wanted to run. I thought defense has been better since adding Don Brown, but still poor. I’d wish Robinson could focus more on recruiting, keep his titles, but add a co-DC that can either take over or help with schemes.

We all knew this was going to be a tough year. We got excited with the Clemson win and Steve’s performance through 3.5 games. I think if he’s healthy we have another 2 wins.

The team hasn’t quit either. You can tell when a team quits. This one hasn’t, which means the culture is there. They just don’t have the talent compared to last season.
