Oh, that's so sad! Such a terrific lady who has done so much for the community. Of course you hope she's ok, but I don't think it's so easy to just get over being robbed at gunpoint, even if it was "just" your phone. Things can go dangerously, terribly wrong in those situations. I'm just happy if she's safe.

There are lots of small business owners at the mall, and lots of people work there. I wish everyone well - and that begins with safety of the customer, or soon there won't be any.

It's a PR nightmare. I think malls offer a lot of positives but not if people can't enjoy them. They need to turn things around. We are talking about the First Lady of Syracuse.

Poor Juli. She is one of the nicest, kindest people on the planet ... who has literally never met anyone she doesn't like. And her foundation (let's face it, she does all the heavy lifting for the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation) has done so much to help the under-served, in-need, populations of the community -- nearly $10 million in grants since its formation. I hope she is all right ... and that she does not have any lasting trauma from this.

Interesting that Channell 9 reported this saying that she was the victim and channels 3 and 5, (both owned by Sinclair so their reports are the same), did not identify the victim.

I think Juli is strong enough to come through with flying colors. I don't know if Destiny is.

My office is nearby, I shot over there with a colleague real quick for a late lunch today. We walked out like 20 minutes before this. Just terrible, really feel sorry that anyone has to experience something like this let alone someone whose been such a beacon of light in our community.

It has steadily gotten worse and worse. To the point where my wife & I will not go there after dark any longer.

It’s a shame, COVID really destroyed it, but it was showing signs of stress before that. It’s hard to justify using your limited free time to go somewhere that may not even be safe.
