One of my favorite 30 for 30’s is on right now. It was such a bizarre day in sports.

The Rangers parade in Manhattan
Arnold Palmers last round at the US Open
The start of the World Cup in the US
Ken Griffey jr hitting his 30th home run before the all star break
Knicks/rockets game 5 in msg

All with the surrealness of OJ being charged with murder and the subsequent car chase playing out in real time.

I love that the director didn’t have any narration or interviews. He just let the clips play out

What a crazy day I was at the Rangers parade in the morning then came home to watch one of the biggest games in knicks history only to have a bronco chase break out.

I was such a young man then. Great summer, living in Newport RI for the summer, watching these events unfold.
