Just got my Renewal

No, 5 games=$20 a ticket. There's no incentive to be a season ticket holder. Every year, I renew and SUA discounts all these seats for less than $15 a game and they're usually better seats on the sideline.

Preferred Season Tickets: $190 (down from last year)
Non-Preferred Season Tix: $205 (down from last year)
3rd level corners: $125
Touchdown Town $99 (unchanged).

I just renewed. I'm there! I am only at the $125 level but love my seats. We have a group of about 15.

very reasonable, people bitching should really just quit going to games if they are going to bitch.. I mean seriously, season tickets for $20-$25 a game What do you want? Sooner or later, you do it because you support the program and the university, I understand the consumer/ product argument but serioulsy if one is wasting time posting here, you probably rip that much money off from your employer on a weekly basis. Just a thought.

Do you remember what we paid last year for preferred seasons?

2 Cheap Seats=$198.00 plus $7 order fee.
No thanks.

So at $205 for two season tickets, you want more? What, are you serious. Yet you are here in March complaining about it. I have seen it all

Those are the cheap seats and not many have those really. And people make a good point, SU will sell better seats at $15 during the season.

$20 a game?? That's an amazing deal. You guys are lucky to live in Syracuse and be able go to every home game for only $20 a pop. I wish I could get up there more often.

It has nothing to do with "wanting more." It's an issue of common sense. For the past 3 years, I have had the same seats in "Touchdown Town." I've renewed them every year, only to have SUAthletics go and discount great sideline seats to under $15 a ticket. There is absolutely no benefit of me renewing at $205 when I can purchase better tickets during the season for $150.

As long as you still plan on going to the games, I don't have any problem using sound logic to pay less.

And how many people will buy season tickets when we have more than 5 home games in the future? Probably none. We only get people to bitch and make excuses not to re up. I will be retaining my 2 and convincing a couple buddies to purchase 2 along side me. $20 is dirt cheap. For reference, you pay $10 to go to a Colgate game.

You guys complain about crazyness. It is 5 LIVE sporting events at approximately $20 per seat?! I just bought 2 tickets to go see the Heat vs the Thunder in April with a buddy. They're ok lower level seats, but nothing special...$200 each ticket, and that's considered a steal. So basically for what I paid for ~2 hours of live sporting entertainment, you could have paid for 15+ hours. Shake my head. If I lived in the area I would pay $200 in a heartbeat to be able to go to all the games.

Ouch. I paid 18 bucks for Heat-Nets ticket in Newark. Not the same, I know. That's going to be an unbelievable game, though.

One positive in the SU football recession has been the ease of buying cut-rate tickets on the week of each game. I'm always convincing my family to join me at games. If I had to buy season tickets months in advance I'd never get to organize these family outings.

I think it is funny how some scream for people to buy the $100 tix or shut up. There aren't that many of them and even if every single one is sold, it doesn't make a dent in the attendance nor the money the school makes.

The problem is preferred donations and seats. That is what SU has to find a way of increasing...big time. While people say "5 games for $100!!!!!", the reality is most pay more, a lot more. Hell, with the 1 less game this season, my tickets went up when you include the required donation (as did everyone's in preferred probably).

So instead of trying to convince a handful of people to buy more "break even" cheap end zone seats, make suggestions to SU on how to get more people to pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars per seat for the right to buy the regular priced seats.

Do people realize that if you are a new donor for preferred seating in level A or B there is a commitment of $10,000 plus the ticket costs (C&D are something less)?

People are barking up the wrong tree. We need more donors, not people paying for the cheap seats.

It's a perfectly valid economic decision, but there's no need to act insulted by the renewal pricing. Again, go, don't go, buy, don't buy, but stop the complaining.

Mine will cost $121.60 per game next year. IMO that is a crappy price for Stony Brook and a great price for NW, Pitt, UConn, and Louisville.

IMO the four 1A games should cost $150 for my seats. The 1AA $50 which averages out to $130.
