Last year's team was very frustrating to watch in all facets. Even their stretch of wins beginning the season, they barely squeezed out wins even against the cupcakes. Brandon disappeared and lost confidence, KJ couldn't drive without charging. He couldn't finish when he actually didn't charge. And the only points we picked up from our 4 & 5 were Jackson's 10 or so a game.

Everyone on the team (except Rick) made just as many boneheaded plays or more as Scoop but for some reason Scoop is what everyone remembers. For some reason those people don't remember the games Scoop carried the team on his back (when it needed to be).

Without Scoop last year, I don't think we win 20 games ... and that's the truth.

I ain't saying he's the best PG in the NCAA ... but he is by far the best one on our team.

Thats great showing loyalty and trying to say the right thing but to say you wouldnt trade him for any other guard isnt looking out for the teams best interest.

The difference between college and pro is, at some point every kid that passes through SU decided to choose us. The very least we can do as fans is stand behind them through out their time here. IMO to boo or suggest that we should get rid of any of these kids is just plain wrong. I'm not saying constructive criticism is a bad thing but lets keep it constructive. Suggesting you would trade one of our own is not.

It would probably include Autry [Sherman, Pearl, Flynn, GMac, with Autry getting the nod over Hart].

Red had about as good of a senior year as a player could possibly have in '95.

As much as I liked Flynn, I thinks it's hard to include him in a ranking of the greatest ever when he was only here for a year.

I feel the same way about Melo, though I'll probably get roasted on here.

Flynn played two years. Sherm and Pearl were better but other than those two (since I've been watching) its hard to say anyone else we have had at the pg spot was clearly better than Jonny.

Noone can know exactly what the freshman are going to be this year so I think we're better off having scoop. Hopefully he can reduce the bonehead plays this year. I think some of that is on the other guys too. Scoop gets in trouble when he thinks he has to take the game over. Hopefully everyone has made improvement in the off season and can just play within themselves. We have enough versatility that if the chemistry is there, we have a chance to look like the team of 2 years ago.
