And you people are nuts.

Devito had three possessions in the first quarter and the only thing that keeps him from have a A+ is him and Queeley not being on the same page on the first possession.

his only other incompletion was on the slant in the redzone that bounced off of Harris.

Third quarter started with a three and out with Harris dropping a dime down the right sideline that would have gone for 40 and a dropped slant to Johnson

followed that up the deep ball on the next possession that led to the td.

the 4th quarter was rough but that fumble was 99.5% on tisdale, and tisdale knew it. Someone on here said he held the ball for 8 secs , what a load of crap, tisdale got power rushed immediately, and his guy ran over him and swatted the ball as he was falling into devitos legs.

1st and 3rd every read was correct, he went with the ball where he supposed to, he threw to all all parts of the field, including multiple completions between the hash’s, and spread it around. I don’t think he was sacked until late in the third.

He played ok. Try watching the 3rd and 4th Qs again

The reason we lost that game was because of penalties and a great punter. Period. After watching Schiano get away with screaming at the ref with every swear word known to New Jersey, Dino gets called? Seriously. Cantin-Arku never touched the receiver. Harris's knee was down. How far was Bergeron off the line?
You guys are ready to fire a coach who held a team that scored 61 points in their last game to zero points at the half. They would've only scored 3 if the penalties hadn't been "appropriated" at the right moments. We were 1 and 10 last year. It was a good game. Great defenses. Our line mostly held up. Give it a break.

the throws he missed were mostly last 2nd decision throws.. yeah it would be nice to throw them better, but i dont think thats a throw most QBs make.

watched the replay if the harris fumble play from a slightly different angle on the news.. even worse call seeing that view.

Disagree on that fourth quarter fumble because Tommy had the ball near his waist instead of by his ear.

As you noted the DL was falling at Tommy’s legs after pancaking Tisdale.

Ball should’ve never been that low and the DL didn’t have to hit it that hard to knock it loose.

The fourth quarter the game was still winnable and he was terrible. Like to go with guy I have confidence in with the game on the line. Two throws out in of bounds ( no not the intentional kind) threw behind on the slant and got stripped and then finishes off with interception. Yes the recievers have hurt him and yes it’s still not a great Oline. My gut feeling is we need something else. He can be a serviceable QB when things go well we saw that at Ohio. I’m going to watch it over , your post at least has me wanting to do that.

Solid 1st half from TD - Very not solid 2nd half. No need to defend it. We were the better team and beat ourselves. Moving on.
What did he do wrong in the third?

I thought he was pretty good in the first Q. The grounding play was bad but it seemed live like that play was doomed quickly.

That’s why I couldn’t figure out why GS was playing in the 2nd Q. I assumed it must have been an injury.

Yep

I get it, you’re all in on TD. I thought he looked his sharpest, ever, on the drive before GS came in during the 2nd quarter.

We can go back and discuss every play, the result doesn’t change. And it’s not all his fault, but he’s not going to be the guy to lead us to greener pastures either.

The grounding was because Queeley broke in instead of out, and was supposed to run a comeback to the sticks, which is exactly where the next throw went but the receiver wasn’t there

Same here and I said as much in the game thread.

The timing when they pulled Tommy in the first half was moronic.

First of many head-scratching awful personnel decisions capped by the punter switch in the fourth.

he’s the only guy that right now gives any hope of having a pass game, and he’s shown he can make plays with his legs. I don’t want an offense that depends on a guy free lancing as the go to play

No the result doesn’t change but they didn’t lose because of devito. They lost the the field position battle, left points on the field, and gave Rutgers multiple short fields

That’s the only scheme that works for Dino’s tire fire of a “system” though.
