Does anyone have an update on his health? Will he be ready for our opening game in September?

Very doubtful.

Doug Marrone just told Brent Axe that Pugh will miss fall practice and the first month of the season. They hope to have him available for October. :(

It really sucks loosing your best lineman to start the season, but the door of opportunity just opened a crack. I hope somebody knocks it downs and surprises all of us.

I didn't hear the interview only read the tweets. They said camp nothing about the season. Did anyone hear the whole interview.

Then why the **** does Weidener write an article on today's site titled: "Syracuse football's veterans on offensive line ready to protect, serve"?

Marrone referred to Hickey and Kris Curtis who will have to step up...So we'll see??

The SU website has Trudo as a guard. More likely Hickey or Curtis.

If I had to guess [left to right], the starting lineup will be:

Curtis, Chibane, Macky, Alexander, Hickey.

Question #1: can Trudo and Foy provide competition to the above group, provide depth [at minimum] or supplant any of the above?

Question #2: can Alexander nail down a starting spot, or doesn't he have the chops to play?

Question #3: can players like Philips / Robinson provide us with any depth and challenge for PT? Very much needed for depth now.

Question #4: tall order for a true frosh to garner minutes at LT, but does this open the door for someone like Jason Emmerich to be a four-year starter?

he said pugh will miss the first month of the season...marrone's own words.

lemon and spruill will be ready from day one.

he mentioned robinson moving over or something to that effect

Andy Phillips just became much more important. He played a snap or two at LT when Pugh went down against (I think) Cincinnati in 2011. He also started a game in place of Hay in 2010. Is he an adequate replacement? He hasn't been a glaring issue when given the chance to play.

That said, Curtis was getting all of the second team reps at Left Tackle in the spring. I can only assume that's why Big Lou played RT in camp. They wanted to get Curtis all of the work they could to have someone else ready to cover. In case this happened.

Not good news on Pugh, heard end of September is best case scenario more likely mid October.

Needs to lose weight

Phillips yes. Robinson probably not.

Atleast the depth at that position this year doesn't make it as dire a situation as it would have been last year if it had happened then.

Curtis, Chibane, Macky, Alexander, Hickey.
Hickey, Chibane, Mackey, Foy, Curtis (IMO)

I think that will be starting OL exactly.
