Fire her she had an affair with a subordinate at the Final Four and this entire situation got dragged out for a year. Meanwhile the university said NOTHING. Sure the coach involved went down the road 30 mins she sucked anyway

Sucking is what got her in hot water!

She has been to more final fours developed more Tewarrton nominees then most coaches do in their entire career and has a ring with BC your completely off
she was still the assistant coach at BC behind a coaching legend. the reality is we were losing ground in recruiting with her and she had yet to fully prove herself in game situations.

It's a bummer this didn't work out but I think she was given the opportunity to have a graceful exit and took advantage of it. This honestly solves a lot of issues for the AD.

Kayla Treanor has concluded her tenure as Syracuse women's lacrosse head coach to pursue other opportunities. Caitlin Defliese Watkins, who has served on the coaching staff since 2016, will serve as interim head coach.

"I appreciate Kayla's efforts leading our women's lacrosse program for the past four seasons and wish her the best in her next endeavor," Syracuse Director of Athletics John Wildhack said. "Our women's lacrosse program has a great history as one of the nation's premier programs with a tradition of excellence that will continue into the future under our program's next leader."

A national search will take place for Treanor's replacement to lead the Orange, who have appeared in 13-straight NCAA Tournaments, won 13 conference titles and played on Championship weekend on 10 occasions.

Head coach resume not all that impressive, IMO. Don't care what she did at BC, she maintained at Syracuse, BFD. She's very replaceable
Her resume in 4 years includes 2 final fours 1 quarterfinal and 1 second round most coaches would die for that kind of success

He really has no clue. Some of those people are going to be candidates but others he just added to his list from when Gary took over the men’s program. This has been a known situation for less than 36 hours, there probably isn’t a great list of real, honest candidates.

I think Axe just read the board and looked at our suggestions.

Highly replaceable. Sorry Kayla’s Dad. Your opinion is noted but not seeing things clearly.

I fully expect a better coach to be hired. She is the cool kid with the right look, Su grad and has a big fanbase. Nothing more than that. She’s fine as a head coach but not great

Not the first, and definitely not the last media member to take info from this board.

Congrats to Kayla. A great opportunity at Penn State to turn them into a national power. After a great career at Niskayuna and Syracuse as a player and some good success in a short time for Syracuse as a head coach, she can now forge her own path. Except for when they play Cuse, I hope she does great there.

What about Jen Adams from Loyola? Maryland alum, who has had some solid success. Could generate buzz in DMV recruiting circles?

It wouldn't surprise me if the search takes some time. After all, who would be better to be part of the interview process than Gait. And he's a bit busy right now.
I'm sure he's had a chat with JW about this.
He'll be available to help in the second round of interviews starting next Wednesday.

After what went down with her im shocked she was even allowed to keep her job to begin with
Can someone tell me where to look as to what happened or can someone give me the short story if possible

Hey Gait-- think you can fix the bridge between SU and Spallina? Pretty pretty please??? :) :)
