Didn't the fast rising younger Beilein's career end because of messing around with a subordinate or was there more to that story?

I don't disagree, she didn't do anything criminal. Trust me, my past makes her look like a saint.

But let's not say this is normal behavior for the head coach of F4 team to do what she allegedly did at the F4. That's just incredibly poor judgement.

I have a friend who's daughter was recruited by SU and ruled the school out, before this happened, because of the reputation of the program that she was hearing in the clubs in FL.

It may not be a major issue to a lot of people, but why risk alienating even one kid with something completely avoidable.
Just seeing this but completely agree.

I am at a girls lax hotbed community and know multiple girls who did same thing with Syracuse recruiting.

And I do not know this as fact but heard 3rd party that was a big reason spallina flipped.

Yes same with Ime Uboka. It’s a fireable offense for straight men these days. Somehow someway things change. Not sure if it’s gender or sexual preference. Or mix of both.

This isn’t a complaint or opinion. It’s just a dry statement of fact.

What's the reputation of the program?

Fireable offense?

I’m not saying any of what is alleged was a good thing to happen or ignored, but there’s probably more gray area in terms of immediacy and range of outcomes
Are you serious? Beilein and Udoke. It’s absolutely a fireable offense to sleep with a direct report.

I’m not talking about cheating on your spouse.

Yes. It was also very well known they were actively trying to get rid of her. Any of the 3 or 4 names I’ve heard should be able to immediately fix reputation.
That's good.

The reality is if we didn't hire Kayla a few years ago, she was getting the HC job at an ACC peer. It was a defensive move but also she was obviously an up and coming candidate who was an alum that the fellow alum heavily pushed for it. Not everything goes according to plan. Key is adjusting and making the best hire this time, alum or not.

I don't think Beilen efforts were getting reciprocated. Different than Ime and KT

I can be, but it isn’t absolute. Depends on policy, the actual nature of the relationship. Coerced vs consensual.

It’s a bad idea, but not prohibited legally. It can be against employee codes of conduct, but those are obviously employer specific.

That’s the question, what’s the policy. There seems to be a default assumption that she engaged in prohibited conduct. Do we know if that is true?
No and that’s a good point. It certainly wouldn’t be at many places of business. I just assumed at Syracuse it would be and there would be a policy in place but who knows?

But is it? What’s the policy at Syracuse University?

It would not be at my company and depend on the situation. It would depend on how much drama it caused and how valuable said employee is. Keeping it gray is best but depends on policy and the employment contract that she signed will carry the weight here

There was more to the story. She was dating another member of the staff and wasn't interested in Beilein. He wouldn't take no for a answer.

That's messed up. Way to throw away a career.
