Kentucky is really really good

I love how they barely beat a couple teams then blow out Arkansas and half the board is cowering under their beds.
They are Good and they are getting Better. Remember that they start 3 freshman that were very good to start with and will only improve as the season goes on.

True, I mean weve obviously peaked while every other team will get exponentially better as the season goes on.

Kentucky worries me big time. Although it is presumptuous to think we will face them.
I'm not really worried about any of the nation's top teams. I think Kentucky, Ohio State, North Carolina, Baylor, Mizzou, etc would all accept the challenge and play Syracuse in a relatively fast paced game. I like SU's chances against anyone in a game like that.

I am more worried about the teams that lurk in the rounds of 32 and 16 - well coached and disciplined enough to value the ball and slow the game down, and with enough talent and experience to execute well in half court possessions. I don't like SU's chances against any decent team in a half court game.

You nailed it. The big boys wouldn't change their philosophy to play us, and thus might play into our hand. It's the Butler type team that won't try to run with us that gives us problems.

I actually think Marquette would give us a much better game if we met them again. I'd hate to see them in our bracket.

Have we peaked? Will the veteran players like Kris and Scoop, Brandon and Dion get worse? And don't we have young players like Fab, Keita, Rakeem and MCW who like Kentucky's, could suddenly blossom before the season ends. Champion teams often have two peaks- the one where they first get your attention and then another one when it counts at the end of the season. The 2002-03 team lost their opener, then won 11 in a row, then went 5-3, then had a 14-1 finish.

I was being sarcastic ;-)

Well, of course we'll get better. My point was simply they have 3 quality freshman, 2 of which are better than the guys in our back line. We'll get better, but not as good as they will be under the boards.
