Kentucky's Death March

Grantland generally blows, but this is a pretty good piece. The one thing I think he fails to point out, however, is the fact that very few teams can do what Calipari is doing and the potential for selfish play and ultimate implosion is every bit as likely as a team essentially doesn't lose and wins a championship in April.

Regardless, I've never had a problem with Cal for the reason Klosterman points out -- he makes no secret of his strategy and methods. Does he pay players? I'm not sure, maybe. But even so, he embraces the truth of big-time college athletics -- this is professional sports.
