Yup. ExcruciatingRidiculous idea, he'll be out of gas lining up at slot receiver the next play.
BTW, we were so close to having Hassan Hall at Cuse.

Punt returner yes...do kick returners get injuries at a high rate? I always thought it was the other players that usually get the injuries? If Jordan’s my top guy in the backfield, I’m not letting him be a return man except for emergency/situational scenarios.
In my experience - more KR’s have been injured... but I’m not sure of the #’s in the aggregate.Punt returner yes...do kick returners get injuries at a high rate? I always thought it was the other players that usually get the injuries?

Totally agree. Also I think your observation is the reason many are looking at eliminating (or at least reducing) kickoff return volume, but nobody is looking at punt returns. It’s because the injury incident rate on KO is much higher. In my experience - more KR’s have been injured... but I’m not sure of the #’s in the aggregate.
We had RB’s deep on KR forever, but it was typically a backup. In 3 consecutive seasons we had a concussion, an ACL and a dislocated shoulder. And that’s just the returners.
In my opinion the juice isn’t worth the squeeze, but I’m probably jaded.
Worst injuries I’ve ever seen were on KR. Temporary paralysis, dislocated kneecap and nasty finger dislocations.
