Because while it was a limited sample size, and his 3 sacks came against an FCS team, he also logged additional QB pressures and it was also just his true freshman season. Meanwhile our entire D just logged only 1 sack against FCS Colgate.

I would gladly welcome a year older and a year stronger KJE. His skill set is exactly what this team is in desperate need of. Why wouldn’t you take that?

You think that very small sample size against a FCS team and being 225lbs would hold up against real teams?
I wish I had the faith you do in him, I just don't see it being that big of a jump in year 2 that it would have made a difference on the terrible play calling on defense.

Whatever his effectiveness would or would not have been, I wish he had been here to give it a shot. Maybe he would have helped, maybe not. But he definitely showed some flashes as a true freshman, and probably would have been on the two deep had he met his obligations.

I remember his highlight video from his recruiting page where he pretty much threw a 4 star tackle recruit on the ground during a one on one drill. I was really excited to see what he could do after a year in the S&C program. Hopefully he works through whatever is going on and he finds his way back to Syracuse by the spring.

Fran Brown seems to have a special place in his heart for kids who just need a second chance. He also has a pretty good success rate with kids that need a little tough love. (so far)

We haven't really seen how he handles kids who are HERE and need a second chance.

100% I wish every kid would come back when they can, I love to see our talent get better and better each year.

KJE said he was entering the summer transfer portal in late July and would be announcing his new team soon... then it comes out he didn't even get officially added to the portal summer transfer window... meaning either he dropped the ball on submitting the summer window transfer request to our compliance office for approval or that or we simply didn't approve it for some reason (schools can decide if they want approve the request or not for the summer window.)

Either way, I don't see him listed on the football athletics site roster, so he likely just has to wait til the next transfer window and if he's not at school and attending classes, I highly doubt he gets a second chance here, but who knows?

KJE was a highly touted and rated pass rusher. We saw flashes as a true frosh vs D1aa talent.

Considering I can count on 1 hand how many times we’ve gotten to the QB through 3 games I’d love to see if he could produce some pressure as a Soph.

The portal allows you to put the word out that you wish to be contacted by other schools.

Some guys already have a deal in hand before officially "entering".

It would be nice to keep king Joseph Edward’s, but we already have talent at edge. If he’s more of a headache than an asset, let him go where he wants. We have two great kids coming in next year—Wilson and Rodgers—plus the New York kid from 2025, and Tremble, who will only keep improving. We’ll be fine without him.

I find it so interesting with all of the speculation in relation to his whereabouts on this board... What happened? What was going to happen? This is a very young man, who seemingly had a lot of goodness and intentions, in other areas translation did not occur. Potentially from an academic perspective, I however should not speculate right? What about issues in relation to being away from home, missing family? No matter how positive and conducive the environment is? In any event we do not know and we should be really pulling for him. I pray and suspect this will be used for goodness that is filled with grace if he chooses this, for sure. We all need some, right? I also find it interesting he is playing here JUCO football here. Good for you young brother, Do not mess this opportunity up and stay where you are at and land where you are supposed to land with the degree and learning that will come from this and future experiences.
