I think this kid might need a thread...
I agree about his defense. I was critical of it during the exhibition games but he displayed much more effort and intensity against Binghamton. Great to see.I was most impressed with his overall game. Very sound fundamentally. He almost made a great defensive play late in the game trying to rotate in the post to break up a dump down pass helping out Kyle. You could see Red was very happy. Not an easy play but a terrific read by Kiyan. It’s a play veterans don’t always make and Anthony was right there.

15 here. 7 with the KnicksWasn't Carmelo's # 15?
I think his skill and savvy belie his athleticismHe looked very Moten-esque in those highlights. Not super athletic but always under control.
Kiyan is going to bring this program national notoriety and publicity again, which we are already starting to see. I don’t think it’s a coincidence our game against Drexel is on Peacock. At some point next season NBC may try to get some of our games.
I suppose we'll find out. He doesn't strike me as all that athletic, which is fine. Skill, savvy, and strength can carry him a long way. I'm not down on him.I think his skill and savvy belie his athleticism
Good points, but I would disagree a little bit on the three-pointers. Most of our three-pointers were very good looks. The kind Buddy or Gerard would make with ease. It was disappointing that Kingz and Betsey were missing those easy ones. But those guys definitely need to shoot threes when open like they were. (Freeman too)I agree about his defense. I have to say, even though it is only Binghamton, this is the best we have looked in several years. Lots of athleticism, rebounding, interchangeable depth. I’d like to see us cut back on some of the ill advised 3 pointers and focus better on free throw shooting. That’s about my only criticisms so far.
Edit: perhaps my biggest praise is the level of intensity we displayed until the buzzer sounded. No letdown and I loved it.
