They were talking about all the defensive guys being hired this off season and Tony said that St. Doug was the dumbest guy in the world in that he's a supposed offensive guy and he can't get hired in the pass happy era NFL

Is 'dumbest guy in the world' an exact quote? Because I find that hilarious for some reason.

Time will tell if Doug is the dumbest guy in the world.

In the interim he has a hell of a lot of competition.

No, TK said "he's nuts."

Transcript:

TK: Doug Marrone cancelled his interview with the Broncos to see what happens with their interview with Gary Kubiak. Does that make sense?

MW: Nothing that Doug Marrone has done since the the end of the season makes any sense to me.

TK: I'm just gonna say this. There's 32 head coaching jobs in the league and he had one and he walked. He's nuts.

MW: I don't know what he's doing.

Marrone will make more than both of them combined this year sitting on his arse eating baloney sandwhiches.

Who's nuts?

It will probably even out over the next 5 years.

And at this point, I bet Marrone agrees with them.

Not by much, and they're on a long term contract.

Mike Greenberg interviewed Rex and asked him what the biggest change was when moving from an assistant to HC - he said dealing with the press. Makes one wonder if DM will ever be happy in that role. I think he might make a better GM.

And they're both absolutely 100% correct.

Why? I think he's pretty popular and knows his stuff.

PTI is one of the best shows for sports, imo

I used to love the show but I have to disagree a little bit. The last few years it's obvious on certain topics/headlines they have no idea what they're talking about. They'll argue an issue and bring up talking points that are completely not relevant or factually aren't significant to the whole issue.

There is a coaching carousel every year and the salaries keep going up. He will find a seat for sure, maybe not this year but he will as he has proven he can do the job.

Both in college and pro, I might add.

I would love the opportunity to piss away $12 million dollars.

Just sayin.

4x$4m = $16m

1x$4m +?? = $4m +??

Which scenario would you like better.

I think prior to Dougs walking away from the Buffalo job, he was well considered and well thought of. I think when you quit on a team, and on your players, you lose credibility. When Doug was still with Buffalo he was highly thought of, but when you quit you lose respect around the NFL.

The dumbest guy quote was earlier in the show when they had just been discussing John Fox to the Bears. About 5:40 PM

Doug is by far the dumbest person in the world. Very smart coach and he had the clause in the first place.

I think the right label would be the most arrogant, self-absorbed ***tard divorced from reality guy in the world. Is that a thing?

I do look forward to perhaps approving video content for the Texans web site though...

There's only 32 owners, and he just walked away from their newest member, the same one that raised the value of all of their teams with his purchase price. I have to think that would not be looked on favorably by the rest of the group. A lot of sins can be forgiven by winning, having a .500 lifetime record probably doesn't overcome what he did. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over time.

I still think he ends up being Titans HC next year.
