So during the Rochester scrimmage you told me P and D liked to have 16 scholly offensive linemen. I said, "I'm not worried. We'll have 14 once the season starts."

Doubtful that SU would ever let him play here if the team doctors won't clear him.


However, he wouldn't be the first player who was declared "medically ineligible" that turned up on another school's roster.

It's the schools doctors, it's not up to the kid or the staff.

it's a little bizarre considering he played in the spring and was supposed to be out nursing a sprained ankle he suffered over the summer and now the doctors say he's medically unable to play for some other reason? weird.

Jhamal Fluellen was ruled out by SU doctors because of a heart condition so he went to Maine (who's doctors cleared him) and he had a pretty decent career there.

How does it work? When a scholarship player can no longer play due to medical reasons, does this give us a extra slot this year? with mungwa and barrett leaving. Do we now have 3 additional slots for 2013?

Obviously the Doctors were worried that football was causing Charlie to shrink.
