I’m not talking about whether or not he has the talent to be here. But this staff recruited him basically. Sat him for basically 2 years and then ran him off. And he was the only guy that played hard (at all). Good luck to Red reloading with 10 new guys…this is way past the skillset of anyone on that bench

Yeah, I liked his energy and the fact it took until just about January to start to figure out we coud use him was a tad baffing.

I also never understood how we used him. He was a "short leash" guy. When he was playing well, get him in and let him work. If he played well though, all of a sudden it'd turn into us playing him 25 minutes straight. He ain't that guy, RED! Short leash! It was such a weird flow to his minutes.

The only way I could make sense of it is:

(1) Red made promises to certain players during recruiting or portalling that they will play at least X minutes each game no matter what.

(2) Red believes in statistics and law of the averages, he is "counting cards" during games. So if someone is shooting 6/6 he believes his luck will turn soon and subs him out, if someone else is 0/8 he keeps him in because no way will the misses continues. He doesn't believe in riding the hot hand or rhythm.

i wish cuffe had started this year...for me he is a much better player than carlos

had to be tough watching jaquan play all those minutes when you are arguably a better player...definitely a better defender...

at the end of the day, i like cuffe but wouldnt want him as a starter next season...so its better for him to go somewhere and start next season
