So, there's seems to be a little rewriting of history in this thread. McCord's waiver of eligibility was rejected. For those struggling with this, rejected means denied, declined, disallowed, nixed, etc. He did NOT have another year of eligibility in his pocket.
He was in the midst of appealing the eligibility decision when he declared for the draft. Once he declared, the appeal process ended. There is no reason to believe his appeal would have changed things.
So, the thoughts that Kyle could have just waltzed back to the starting lineup at Syracuse are misguided.
