Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

This is my take on Kyle McCord. Kyle is the best quarterback prospect to come around in years. He should easily be the first player drafted in the NFL this year. I predict whatever team he goes to he will start and he will end up being the NFL rookie of the year. This kid is like a Michael Jordan or LeBron James. He’s an absolute can’t miss prospect. He virtually has no weaknesses in his game at all except for mobility. we have seen this kid play all year and we know how good he is. I would not doubt this kid‘s ability level in anyway he is an absolute freak.
You've made that clear before. He's obviously the next Peyton Manning. It's weird that you quoted my post to express it.

when harry met sally ill have what shes having GIF

Is Stroud a good reference point? Wouldn't his success invalidate the importance of the test? It would be nice to have a more complete list or some statistic about how it correlates to success in the league.
No, the thought is that it was after multiple days of practice etc and he didn’t really try.

We watched the kid play for 13 games other than one terrible terrible game. He was as good a quarterback as you could ever imagine. The kid had absolutely no weaknesses if you’re an NFL team looking for a franchise quarterback this is your guy. Sorry he’s the best I’ve ever seen at the collegiate level and I don’t have any doubt that he’ll fit in extremely well in the NFL game.

Watch Joe Burrow from a few years ago at LSU.

2023s QBs
  • Bryce Young (Alabama): 98 percent
  • Jake Haener (Fresno State): 96 percent
  • Will Levis (Kentucky): 93 percent
  • Jaren Hall (BYU): 93 percent
  • Clayton Tune (Houston): 84 percent
  • Anthony Richardson (Florida): 79 percent
  • Hendon Hooker (Tennessee): 46 percent
  • C.J. Stroud (Ohio State): 18 percent
How could Stroud score an 18??? That makes no sense at all and largely invalidates the importance of this test imo

The athletic doesn’t have McCord anywhere in their three round mock draft. Yet they have Milroe going to the Jets in round 2.

I thought you got 20 points for printing your name

From NFLRookie Watch:
Kyle McCord is reportedly “flying up” draft boards at the moment after recent news.

McCord reportedly recently scored in the 99th percentile on the S2 cognition test.

For reference, CJ Stroud (also former Ohio State QB) scored an 18.

One NFL scout believes McCord is a “combination” of Baker Mayfield/Jay Cutler and could see McCord taken in the late first.

Fran Brown (Syracuse HC) believes McCord is the “best QB” in this year’s draft.

Don’t be surprised if the Syracuse QB comes off the board within the first 40 picks
He’s better than Cutler and smarter than Mayfield

Everyone has a bad day every now and then. Teams are not bound by the one test, they may ignore the results. The test is an indicator of other things.

I.Q. Tests don’t measure physical ability nor reaction time. They do measure some types of intelligence, though they don‘t measure musical or artistic intelligence. That does not invalidate the value of an I.Q. Test.

It's not meant to be the end all of how well a player will do.
It does not take into account the players physical abilities, game experience, and tactical understanding.
Also what if the player is bad at taking test, might have a disability that hurts his test scores.

You need to look at all the testing and then make an educated guess, still a gamble with QBs.

I would assume that this test is on average a good indicator.
However, outliers should probably be retested.
18 seems incredibly low, especially considering what Stroud accomplished in college.
Maybe he is a poor test taker, maybe he was sick that day.

I agree with a lot of what you said, but he needs a good line in front of him, all QBs need a good line to be successful. IF that occurs, he will make average teammates look much better.
I agree and would add that he needs a good system fit. Put him on any of Tom Brady’s championship teams and I’d be willing to bet he’d hold his own. Not comparing him to Tom, but his intelligence is there and he’d perform really well if he has a great line and a great system fit.

This and every Maliq Brown thread.
DONT YOU DARE USE MALIQ’s NAME IN VAIN!!!

He is the most important player in the history of college hoop right now.

The 2pts he scored in Saturdays loss to Clemson were falucking majestic!!!

He didn’t try hard and there will always be a few outliers.

Look at the offense that OSU runs vs what Kyle did at SU. Much less reading, play action because the oline was better. And high high end WR that were running open a ton,

Much like Dart with 60% of his passes to guys with 3-5 yds of separation vs Kyle leading with contested passes.
