My allegiance to Kyle as a fan is way stronger than any NFL hate I got going on. My least favorite NFL team is the Cowboys and I'd even become a fan of them for him.

This is almost certainly the case. Every year there are 50 guys who are “definitely first rounders” at some point in the process and obviously they can’t all go In 32 picks.

and anyone who follows the draft knows that starting around round 3 teams have players ranked dramatically different for a bunch of reasons (scheme fit, character concerns, personality, etc) and a guy might be a 3rd rounder on one teams board and a 5th rounder on 15 draft boards and not on the other half of the leagues draftable grades. Does that mean he’s worthy of being hyped as a third round prospect Because one media guy found out a team had a rd 3 grade on him?

in all cases, fans pretty much always overrate/overvalue their own guys. In our case this is the first time we’ve had legitimate buzz about multiple guys at once getting drafted. While they certainly all wont get picked, it’s been a long time since we’ve had this many guys getting into all star games, the combine and so far at least, shining.

all have a shot to get selected. It seems impossible they all get taken. But I do think we are going to hear/see Syracuse come up a memorable number of times on day 3 of the draft.

Listening to Palmer talk is how we all feel.

“Where’s the disconnect?” Guy has won 20 something and 4, elite “spin it” metrics, top tier FB IQ according to the tests. Confident and calm under pressure. Elite recruit, had success and left, the. Elevated a program.

He was calmly saying “gonna start for a long time.” I really hope he gets a chance to sit for a year behind someone with an aging vet and then gets to take over. Don’t draft him as the savior, but let him sit and learn the speed and go from there. He’s got everything you need in a QB save for elite physical athleticism/speed, and the league hasn’t had spent most of its history NOT needing that from its QBs.
