Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

That's laughable if you're serious. I mean, how many guaranteed top 5 NBA picks go to the combine? Why would a consensus Top 5 NFL draft pick, and probable #1, no worse than #3, take any risk ($$$) whatsoever. It would be amazingly foolish, and anyone that would advise him otherwise should be fired in a heartbeat.

You being any attorney, think of it this way. Would you ever advise against bifurcating a trial case where the liability against your client is nil, however the damages are catastrophic? And, in a pure comparative negligence state. Or, would you say screw it, because you don't want to come across as afraid and not confident in your skills.
To be fair, he was careful with his language and did use the word "appear". He was talking about appearances, at least that's how I read it.

Really makes no difference and that was understood by the comparison to the top 5 NBA prospects. Besides Sanders was told not to participate.

Well, "to be fair" the post I responded to was subsequent to his other just above it asking; "what's he afraid of?" So, the word "appear" in this instance and in a comprehensive context, comes across as being more along the lines of actual, as in, the sun appeared on the horizon, IMO. :)

We might need an emergency IGGYs where we have to name how many draft picks and what rounds our guys go

McCord tiebreaker of the exact pick he gets chosen. I’ve talked myself into the “before end of round two” territory

Dart is going to be the 3rd QB off the board. The Mannings are starting to really pump him up to teams and in the media. Kyle should probably be the 4th, but I think some teams are going to overvalue Ewers and Milroe simply because they were hyped and went to name blue blood programs.

Thinking Kyle goes late 3rd/early 4th. Wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up with the Rams or Seattle.

I don't think anything definitive can be predicted yet about eventual draft position.

A lot will hinge on the combine, where the teams interview QBs, and put them through the "grueler" of bombarding them with offensive concept information, and then seeing how well they process it quickly and can white board the concepts back to the offensive coaches.

I expect that McCord will excel there, and in the interviews, and that those "wins" -- in conjunction with his prolific numbers -- will push him up draft boards.

You also don't know how the desperation factor might work in the draft, as well. For example, a team like Cleveland might not want to take a QB at the top of the first round, but probably will at the top of the 2nd. Teams might also move back into the end of the first round to snag a QB prospect. Usually, more than 2 QBs go in the first, because it is such a premium position of need.

All of which could move other guys up. Let's just say for example that Dart goes at the end of the first. Well, now there's another guy off the board, and teams that still need QBs. So a guy like McCord's draft position could get pushed up.

I still think that in the end, he'll shift above bigger names like Ewers / Milroe, because his capabilities are superior to theirs. And I say that without a trace of bias -- he's a better NFL prospect, with far superior passing skills to either of those two.

The Mannings hyped Daniels, too. As a Giants fan, I can safely say the Giants were sold a performance-below-advertised product. I think many owners will remember that, especially the Mara clan.

They are going to pump the guys they worked with because it behooves them to get guys drafted high, which will feed more guys to their camp and keep the appearance that not only were they good QBs on the field, but also good judges of QB quality off the field.

By the way, take Eli in the kicking contest Sunday

I don’t know much about football coaching, but one of the things I always look for with a new qb is how tight of a spiral do they throw. Unsure why, but I do. Tommy was great. Others before and after him not so much. Kyle was fantastic. Super tight spirals. not sure what it means as it relates x’s and o’s but it would appear the ball would get receivers quick and not float/flutter.

Never understood those who claimed Kyle did not have a strong arm. Good to have definitive proof they were completely wrong.
Ohio St fans on social media’s constant complaint they used to stretch their arrogance was it was between his ears because of the immense pressure at Ohio St and ball placement. They never considered he may have improved after having a season of games under his belt as a first time starter and he also threw one of the best back shoulder passes of any QB i watch on Saturday’s. His arm talent and ball placement are the absolute least of his concerns. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him go in the 2nd round. Hopefully to a decent team though. I don’t want to see him thrown to the wolves at the Jets even though him and Garrett Wilson could be one hell of a duo and Lequint Allen on steroids in Breece Hall.

Yup to the Jets in the second round, book it, Dano! This Jets fan might have to start paying attention for the first time since 1969, and 1980 something…..
