Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

McCord goes at end of 3rd round in this 7 round mock draft:

Glad this is a mock draft. I hope McCord goes much higher. And preferably to the Giants.

If Miami is really concerned about Tua they may take a QB much higher.

I think being a QB automatically moves him up a round. If he actually rates as a 3rd round pick, someone will move up at the end of the 2nd to get him. People get antsy about QBs. If you need one and like him, I don't think any of those teams can wait the extra round and take the chance of him getting sniped. The beautiful thing about his spiral and spin rate is that he can play anywhere. That's the kind of ball you have to have to cut through windy stadiums and still succeed. As soon as you have a wobble, the wind knocks the crap out of it.

Somebody explain to me why Shedeur Sanders is a top 3 pick and Kyle is a 3rd rounder. Ridiculous.

Because Shedeur Sanders is a very good quarterback?
Kyle is definitely the more accurate passer, one of the best "ball-placement" QBs I've ever seen on the collegiate level. But Sanders is more mobile, with a strong arm as well.
Look, I think his dad's an ahole as well. But he was a major factor in the turnaround at CU who, if I'm not mistaken, won only one game the season before Prime. This isn't a Bronny James nepo deal...the kid can legitimately play.

Not as good as McCord

Yeah, Yeah, I want to call up a sports talk show and ask them Sanders and Ward, Sanders and Ward??
Kyle started at OSU, correct me if I am wrong, but OSU starting QB's have a pretty damn good draft record, not always an NFL record, but draft record, yes.
Then all he does is transfer and throw for the most yards in college FB.
And maybe he sneaks into the top 10? I don't get it.

Unless the running dimension is that important, but I guess it is.

If Kyle had the year he had at OSU, he would be touted as the #1 QB. Thats the deal.

As a pure passer, you are correct. But Sanders brings other facets that the NFL loves, ie; mobility. And unfortunately, Kyle is limited in that area. Which doesn't mean I agree Kyle should last to the later rounds either. IMO, Mccord shouldn't go past the 2nd Round- but Sanders is the modern-day, prototype QB the league is in love with. JMHO

Basically it was a whole new team compared to the year before, but yes he was a major factor in their success.

Sanders is not a runner. He takes a bunch of sacks too. Many more than McCord. Name helps him.
