What is an S2 cognition test?

He’s taller than Baker and smarter than Cutler. I think he can be a plus starter in the league even after I gently place my orange colored glasses on top of my nightstand.
My stop sign is smarter than Cutler. But that guy can party lol. Really hope he just ends up in good spot. Would love to see him go to the rams. Sit behind Stafford for a year and mcvay will get him dialed

I know why Sanders came up but who cares? McCord as thought is moving up and let's hope he lands in the right place for his career. Which everyone should hope is neither the Jets or the Giants because they are both bags of suck.

From NFLRookie Watch:
Kyle McCord is reportedly “flying up” draft boards at the moment after recent news.

McCord reportedly recently scored in the 99th percentile on the S2 cognition test.

For reference, CJ Stroud (also former Ohio State QB) scored an 18.

One NFL scout believes McCord is a “combination” of Baker Mayfield/Jay Cutler and could see McCord taken in the late first.

Fran Brown (Syracuse HC) believes McCord is the “best QB” in this year’s draft.

Don’t be surprised if the Syracuse QB comes off the board within the first 40 picks

We all knew we had something pretty special very early on... Nice to see that it's being confirmed when other people are starting to look deeper. One bad game shouldn't define a player's potential.

Excited to see how his career goes.

Sanders tales a ridiculously high number of sacks, so I wouldn't be so quickly to highlight his mobility or label him a dual threat that the league is in love with.

Hype and last name.
Sanders runs a 4.8 and Kyle a 4.9. Not much difference when you consider Kyles ability to make quick decisions and reads. Mahomes also a 4.8

It's not so much about 40 time, it's about elusiveness. It's similar to what we heard about Devito vs Dungey. Devito supposedly had the better 40 time, but nobody would argue that Dungey wasn't more elusive.

Is Stroud a good reference point? Wouldn't his success invalidate the importance of the test? It would be nice to have a more complete list or some statistic about how it correlates to success in the league.
This is my take on Kyle McCord. Kyle is the best quarterback prospect to come around in years. He should easily be the first player drafted in the NFL this year. I predict whatever team he goes to he will start and he will end up being the NFL rookie of the year. This kid is like a Michael Jordan or LeBron James. He’s an absolute can’t miss prospect. He virtually has no weaknesses in his game at all except for mobility. we have seen this kid play all year and we know how good he is. I would not doubt this kid‘s ability level in anyway he is an absolute freak.

  • Jaren Hall (BYU): 93 percent
  • Clayton Tune (Houston): 84 percent
  • Anthony Richardson (Florida): 79 percent
  • Hendon Hooker (Tennessee): 46 percent
  • C.J. Stroud (Ohio State): 18 percent

Looking at those names makes me wonder how important that test is.

I agree with a lot of what you said, but he needs a good line in front of him, all QBs need a good line to be successful. IF that occurs, he will make average teammates look much better.
