Kyle McCord to NFL Draft

Interesting that he uses the BC game to say that McCord can't drive the ball. There were plenty of games where Kyle did exactly that, 20-30 yards downfield.
At least he didn't use the Pitt game to decide that Kyle was reckless with the ball!

Didn't a band already have that name? Oh wait, that was "The Presidents of the Unitied States of America." I guess it's not that far off.
always liked that one, "Pot-Usa"

The more I think about it, with my admitted limited understanding of where the NYG are at, it sounds like a solid spot for him; he can slowly sit behind Russel Wilson, impressive offensive line, and has Malik Nabers for a target. They'd have to nab him at #65 though cause he's not going to be on the board still at #99.

I saw a mock draft this morning that had him going at that #65 spot.

He lost me at the intro when he implied Kyle looses accuracy on intermediate throws. He’s out of his mind
It’s odd he says that but most of the video he states the intermediate throws are the strong suit of Kyle’s play lol

Dane Brugler of the Athletic put out his full 7 round mock draft.

McCord rd 4 (127) to Rams
Gadsden rd 5 (157) to Bucs
Allen rd 5 (166) to Texans
Diggs rd 5 (174) to Cowboys

Rams is a GREAT landing spot for Kyle.

But honestly - I don’t think he lasts til round 4.

And OGII round FIVE??!!

Dude is a matchup nightmare.

Those were some of my initial impressions also. Felt Kyle and Gadsden were at least a round too low, but I'd be happy if Allen and Diggs got taken in the 5th

So read somewhere that Gadsden is falling some because he is a bit of a positional "tweener" at the pro level. I still think whoever drafts him, is going to really like what they see come late summer and regular season.

I'll be completely shocked if LQA, Wax or Fadil get drafted.

I don't think the latter two have any plus attributes that translate to the NFL level.
I'll bet that one of the three definitely does (Fadil goes first). I think LQA will be quickly signed as a FA if he doesn't get picked in 6th or 7th. Wax agree with you on.

STOP READING! We don't need OG to fall any lower!

Seriously, I agree that anyone who takes him, regardless of when, will be happy that they select him. He will do more than he is projected to do.

National Media hedging happening in real time with McCord. After thought quarterback in the national media narrative with the exception of a few weeks in January during this entire process it feels like. Now they realize with all the visits he’s being invited to take and the fall off that many they thought would happen is becoming less likely to materialize. I think it’s very likely he isn’t even available by round 3.

I think LQA is the most likely of the 3. Maybe NE now that McDaniels is back as a receiving back.

I hope they all get drafted, but I also feel like they'd be better off as UDFAs to find a team that fits a unique play style for each of them.

Sean Payton likes LQA a lot a few nfl insiders said.

Agree. Usually udfa can be better than a late round pick. Sans the optics / ego of getting drafted.

On the Pat McAfee show today, Kirk Herbstreit was asked “taking Cam Ward out of the list of the top 5 – 6 QB’s, do you have a second favorite, a QB who you feel really stands out to you? Herbstreit replied yes, I think a guy that’s been a bit forgotten is a guy by the name of Kyle McCord out of Syracuse. The NFL offensive system is going to have to be the right fit as it has to be for any of these players to expect instant results. I just go by what I saw him do at Ohio State – Kyle left and went on to do some nice things at Syracuse and if you just break his game down and how he fits in the NFL, if there’s a guy that’s off the radar that you can maybe get early in the second round – go get your corner, guard, tackle and bank on him still being the in the second round, that would be the guy.

I think he’s got as big an arm as anybody, a gunslinger mentality and a chip on his shoulder from what he went through in Columbus. He’s the guy who is very intriguing to me and did a hell of a job in making Syracuse relevant last year and I cannot wait to see where he lands and hope he takes that chip on his shoulder that he played with at Syracuse to the NFL with him."

I think Kyle really deserved that comment - I'm tired of the constant replays of Ward and Sanders. Herbstreit has honesty and opinions that are true, and he took that today and it made me, and I hope Kyle, members and guests of this board and students feel great.

I remember herbie predicting we’d beat Miami.

I mean...we've been saying this all along.

That's awesome.

Never been much of a Cowherd fan, but I liked his assessment here and agree 100%. I think he is the 2nd best QB in this draft, and should be drafted no later than 2nd round.

I don't get the Dart / Milroe / Ewers / Shough preoccupation. This kid is legit.
Cowherd (Clownherd?) endorsing him makes me concerned.
