Emerich is backup C now, and will be a redshirt soph after Macky leaves. Big 33 kid from PA. I would be shocked if he did not take over the spot.

It'll be a battle to watch.

Should have 3 centers on the roster but I'd be just as shocked to recruit JUCOs as backups. I think the primary goal when recruiting a juco is to get a kid who can potentially start and make an impact. Secondary goal is to build depth. If a kid is only going to be in the program 2/3 years max then what's the point.

Speaking of JUCO's I've thought it curious that Wayne Williams redshirted this year. Was this at the suggestion of Syracuse so that he'll have 3 years to play? or where there other factors such as grades/injury?

Wayne wanted three years at SU is what I heard and he was doing everything possible to make that happen including improving his grades.

Looks like Wayne Williams has lost weight and has slimmed down from over 350 to 335 lbs! He should be a disruptive force over the next 3 years.

I like the LA Harbor guys and would love to see us land all 3. I just hope we don't go overboard on the JUCO's and end up with half a class of JUCO's.
