Wow, I almost feel bad for them. Almost. They didn't have to sell off all their tickets, and of course, their fans could have tried buying some tickets.

I love how they talk about our 'demise as a program' when we go to the ACC. Recruiting has certainly taken a hit for us...

Cuse will always play at MSG but it might not be against St Johns if they choose not to play us. Since the Cuse is THE team in the city, we could draw a big crowd against a number of schools: Seton Hall, Rutgers, Fordham, Iona, Manhattan.

They're clearly the only team that recruits. And the fact that they can't see the point of playing a home and home with us is comical. I can't wait to stop paying their bills.

I'm sure it's partially sour grapes, but there is probably a grain of truth in the "arrogant" syraucse fans. This isn't the first time we've heard this from the opposing fanbase.

Seriously, is there another program in the country that swarms opponents buildings like that.
NYC, NJ, RI, DC, NC, FLA, Chicago.
I've seen the same in Boston for football. National program.

These Johnnie fans are even complaining that MSG is selling Syracuse Merchandise!
First, Syracuse IS New York's College Team.
Second, Can you blame MSG for wanting to make some profits from all the Syracuse fans running around there?
St. Johns has to understand their place in college athletics, & that place is somewhere beneath CUSE...

I read that entire thread and felt rather sad for SJU fans.
Fans of many teams are under the false disillusion that they are a better program than what they really are. Unfortunately SJU fans were presented with that fact today in the form of 10,000+ orange clad folks. Reality must have hit them rather hard that they are completely irrelevant, and haven't been relevant in over 25 years. A once proud program that has fallen far, very far.
I'll give some of them credit, though. Even after being presented with a orange beat down, there were still a few fans on that forum that seem to think they are a program on the rise, and we are destined for failure because of our move to the ACC. They have some Rutgers-esque disillusions.

St. Johns might have a few good seasons, & maybe even grab another Final Four from time to time, but they can never compare themselves equally with the likes of Syracuse.
It's like trying to compare our football program to Alabama or Texas...

If SJU doesn't want MSG to sell Syracuse gear then they shouldn't play in a comercial arena. They should build their own arena but they won't so guess what, MSG wants to make money as it is their business.
