Ladies and Gents, your obligatory "I can't believe how many SU fans were at our home court thread...

We don't even need to play SJU ever again. Duke just played Michigan State and Washington in the Garden, earlier this season. We can easily do that, too.

Yeah, but the SJU fans say we are lucky to play there every other year and this is our bball version of a bowl game playing at the Garden...

Must have forgot we already played there twice this year and those three times we out drew their fans that were there today. May be close but its possible SU fans outnumbered SJU fans this year in the garden - our three games vs their home season there.

Just wait until BET time.

Observations: Usual claptrap from the opposing fans' board. If you don't want SU fans to overwhelm you then 1) go to the game and support your team, and/or 2) eat your tickets!!
Observation #1: They kept saying that we want to play in MSG b/c we can keep getting NYC kids? Ummm ... how many NYC kids do we have on the team btw. At one time that was very much true ... not so much now.
Observation #2: They have a long way to go to become competitive with SU. And going to the ACC isn't going to effect that in any way.
Observation #3: For graduates from a college they sure can't spell!!

This, this, and this!

The only player from NYC, with a scholly, is Southerland. Who is a role player... Mookie is from Peeksill, which is downstate. It's not NYC though.

Syracuse recruits nationally.

Their student demographics are holding them back. They will be hard pressed to build a fanbase with their current student profiles. Maybe in 10-20 years but they will be in a new lower profile league by then.

Guys they are mad at SU because they know that without SU the Big East will eventually die. St Johns will be in a mid major BBall conference within the next 10 years. SU was the glue holding the BE together. When Louisville, UConn, and ND leave during the next round of expansion, the Big East FB and BBall conferences will split and St Johns will be left playing GTown, Marq, Seton Hall, PC, Nova, Depaul, etc every year. If Lavin has had any success at that point he will then jump to an ACC school that has an opening and leave St Johns behind. He would get more money and be coaching in a big boy conference. At that point MSG might not even want St Johns BBall. Would it be worth the costs of operations to host the games if they are getting under 8k a game? They would be better off playing all home games at Carnesecca.

I have always liked St Johns, it is sad that their program is dying.

I loved the guy that thought southerland should have gotten T'd up...

Slightly tacky, maybe... But getting T'd up for trying to steal the ball? Hahah

Yeah that was hilarious; should James have done it? Maybe, maybe not. But getting T'd up for what, playing until the end of the game?

I am still not sure what the refs ruled there. James did not make contact with the St Johns player. And if it were a foul there would have been FTs. The St Johns player pushed James, yet they inbounded it so it couldn't have been a foul on St Johns. So was it a jump ball ruling? It was dumb of James to do that. Not sure what he was thinking.

I think they went to the monitor to see if the st johns player punched him... But still weird that there wasn't a foul on him and James shooting ft's.

They are really going to bricks when Swofford makes a deal with MSG to rotate the ACC tournament there once every four years. MSG would do it in a second because that would crush the BE Tournament in terms of revenue generation. I'm sure the new Nets facility would be willing to hold the BE tourney those years.

and can we stop dating our cousins/sisters, this imbreeding has to stop.

Its funny where people show their true colors when they reach for insults at that level...

I think the title for this video should be 'Yet another low point for the SJ program.'

Damn, could you imagine anything like that ever happening at the dome?

The best part is Scoop running 10 feet onto the court immediately after the dunk, realizing no one called time out yet, and doing some kind of demented kangaroo hop back onto the sidelines. I wondered what Brandon was laughing about on TV.
