My guess is it will be another young guy looking to move up the career ladder.Time to see if JW and DB mean business. Another area for a significant hire.

With the dedication our outreach/social media department showed, paired with the funding of a truly national recruitment staff we now have... i think it’d be a premier launchpad for anyone looking to make a splash in the field. I agree with you but have high hopes we could bring in a highly promising candidate. My guess is it will be another young guy looking to move up the career ladder.
Whole staff left though. The 2019 Memphis Tigers went 12-2 and ended the season ranked #15.
They're the 2019 AAC champion.
This isn't a step down.
And they are AAC. There is no way they pay as much as Syracuse does. No question he will be moving to a much better area for recruits though. That should make his life a little easier.Whole staff left though.
That would be a very very good thing. Here is to hoping.I wonder of this opens the door for Dave Boller to come back?

Good luck Landan!
in the dome possibly on the road no chanceYeah, they're in the AAC.
But do you think Syracuse could beat Navy this year? or SMU? Or Cincinnati twice?
The discussion is on which is the better job. Not which team was better this season. If you want to change things up and discuss that, yes, I agree, Memphis was better than Syracuse this season.Yeah, they're in the AAC.

Memphis isn't bad...it's just when you cross over the border into Arkansas and there is nothing until you reach Little Rock.Aren’t these types of positions pretty much entry level and stepping stones?. Didn’t people freak out the last time when that White kid left? or was there someone else in between ?
Gut says this was a nudge and maybe mutual. Let’s not go crazy though Memphis is not a step up but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s making more money there. And of course you have to survive living in Memphis no thanks.
As far as Boller, hiring him back is completely independent of this. unless there’s no salary in the budget which would be ridiculous. There’s certainly no rule about the number of staffers you can have.

Yes you struck a nerve OX. As an ex-air traffic controller who retired at the ripe old age of 51 W/a government pension, and never had to land a 250,000 lb. plane in a 30 knot cross wind or live in PHX but be based in LAX, I’d hardly call being an air traffic controller a demotion.RB coach to Director of Player Personnel?
Sounds like getting demoted from pilot to air traffic controller.

From WMU? Wasn't he DFO once before, prior to Dino bringing in Witke from BGU?A great hire (imo) for this position would be Drew Robinson.
Didn't Dino let him go when he came to SU?A great hire (imo) for this position would be Drew Robinson.
