Maryland 'Optimistic' on Schultz’s Return This Week
Terrapin sophomore midfielder Jack Schultz missed the season-opener vs. Loyola due to injury, coach John Tillman confirmed postgame, but said he was optimistic the All-Big Ten Freshman from 2025 would be able to play Friday vs. Syracuse.

A member of the USA U20 Team that competed in South Korea in August, the 6-foot, 190-pound middie scored eight goals and added six assists last season. Expected to float between the first and second lines that featured Chris Lyons, Zach Whittier, Elijah Stobaugh, Spencer Ford, Aiden Aitken and Matthew Higgins, Schultz brings a unique blend of dodging and playmaking.

Melendez ‘Day-to-Day' For Ohio State
A week after the Buckeyes were dealt with a serious blow when No. 1 cover defenseman Bobby Van Buren was ruled out for the season with an ACL tear, their marquee transfer Russell Melendez missed their second game vs. Cleveland State.

In his place, 5-Star Ohio native Khalif Hocker scored one of his six shots upon an early return from an ACL tear of his own last year. Hocker wore a large brace on his left leg

Melendez’s injury has been confirmed by a team spokesperson as “day to day.”

Erdmann Out For Season, Schroter, Terenzi Day-to-Day
Virginia midfielder Will Erdmann will miss the 2026 season with an injury, a team spokesman confirmed Monday.

The former 4-Star prospect from the Class of 2023 was a key member of the Cavs’ shortstick defense and transition unit in 2025. The Cavs’ transition unit got a workout indoors against Colgate on Saturday, where Wills Burt was a standout in that group.

All-America defenseman John Schroter also did not play in that win. He is considered day-to-day, as is senior two-way middie Joey Terenzi. Michael Meredith, Tommy Snyder and Aidan Murnane started at close defense.

Nice 👍 Where are you finding this information? The Inside Lacrosse site I have been using for years seems to have disappeared and looking for a viable replacement.

Here's one source:

Hopkins just doesn't appear to have much O beyond Collision Chauvette and Ayers. They gotta get something from Iler and these other mids

this is why I didn't pick this game, only 2 big scorers against Bobby Mo(11 goals by Collison and Chauvette) would like to see production spread around against weaker opponents. No idea what to make of
Towson without Ronan Fitzpatrick. Tigers hanging tough but i expect Hopkins to win but not by 4

Gonna be one of those years for me as looking at the games I liked Towson and had sneaking suspicion on Detroit Mercy as the line was enormous. Didn't pull the trigger and both are probably going to cover (Detroit already has).

Hopkins punishing Towson on all of these turnovers but they have no answer for Weisshaar, even Kilrain their #1 is getting dusted.

Very Solid win for Hop, Towson gave that away though. Just couldn't put a beach ball into the ocean in the 4th. Missed a # of great looks.

Lamitie played well, but the Jays D is going to struggle against more multidimensional offenses.

Hop offense showed it's not a one player show, but they'll have to up their game. Much better defenses await.

Hopkins has a solid team and will definitely win a game or 2 against top 10 opponents this year. That said your right on both accounts. I think Hop may have issues scoring against higher level defenses. They really need Iler and Ayers to play like they did today because teams are gonna limit Collison and Chavette.

Defensively I thought they did a nice job forcing turnovers especially on the ride and their man down was great in the 2nd half but ya they are gonna have problems against the UNC's Cuse's Marylands Penn States etc who have more depth and probably aren't gonna miss som any good looks.
