Class of 2022 LB Elijah Herring (TN) Portal to FSU

With LA. Heading for the NFL. Draft I would think the NIL $ he would have gotten can now be put towards some talented portal players and if McCord does not return that’s another chunk of NIL $ to use, I would think the portal players we have already signed did not cost a ton of $ hopefully a stud LB. And a lockdown CB. And 1 more beast O’Lineman are on their way for them we will pay $$$

If we land him, I wonder if he can give any special insight into the Tennessee defense for us.

Cool

Coffee is for closers , and only winners get washed

Get it done.
Always Be Closing Alec Baldwin GIF

Does Daniel still live in Constantia? He was funny to listen to when he had the radio show on ESPN Syracuse.

You still have to take care of the players already on the team. The price goes up on for guys like Pena, Grant, Gill, etc. We should have a net gain after losing LA, Wax, Meeks, Gagdens, Barron and Diggs. If McCord comes back he’ll eat up most of the net gain.

It’s not about winning anymore. It’s all about money.
In this situation I’m sure the money is a major factor of it. But why the commitment before our visit on Tuesday? FSU will be running the 3-3-5 defense he was used to at Memphis, so they had that going for them. If this is a signed and sealed commitment that means our visit was cancelled then. If this is the case, am I the only one that is suspicious on if anything was negatively said against our program considering the Cuse connections on the defensive side of the ball at FSU.

tough to say anything negative about us at this point compared to them.

SU is going have to pony up $15-$20 million annually to pay players if we hope to compete in the new era of collegiate athletics. We don’t have the large passionate fanbase NIL to compete with state schools who prioritize football. If this means we have to get less expensive coaches in the Olympic sports and even discontinue some sports, then that’s what we’ll need to do.

It’s all about football, basketball and men’s lacrosse.

My son just graduated from UCSD and they require every student to pay a collegiate athletic fee. I think we paid $600 per quarter for this fee. I think Syracuse is going to have to charge every student money as an athletic fee to help fund player salaries. If every student was charged $250/semester that would total $7.5 million, or half the total player salary budget.
