Leaving the Dome early.

Not everybody is really a fan. Some people are just clueless.

At the Clemson game, I had people sitting next to me show up at the end of the first quarter, eat some nachos and drink a beer, constantly turn around and talk to their friends behind them, and then leave at halftime.

After the BC interception it looked like at least 10K people left the Dome. Sigh…. I hope getting home 15 minutes early was worth missing one of probably the best half-dozen finishes in Dome history.

Don't you know: traffic in Syracuse is awful. Just getting out in front of that one. Still kills me every time someone brings up traffic in Syracuse.

Haha. As someone who grew up in Syracuse, lived in Long Island and now resides in Atlanta, I completely concur with your post.

Hopefully those people are filled with deep and eternal regret when they get home and see that Syracuse won. And through their pain and suffering, they serve as a horrible warning to fans at future seemingly lost causes...

I would guess the fans that left early really don't care that they missed that ending.

The fans that really care if we won or lost were the ones that were there to see us win.
Another fan leaving a game early has never upset me or ruined my enjoyment of going to the game. I don't get the nastiness of fans towards other fans that leave early. WHO CARES! Doesn't ruin my time at the game

I don't think it's possible to beat the Wake Forest comeback in the opener a couple years back. That finish was outstanding.

Honestly, today wasn't even that nerve-wracking.

Really, really happy for the kids. I don't believe that a 6-6 team (especially this particular 6-6 team) deserves a bowl bid. But it's great for the program that we got the win. The kids deserved it. And I want us to win every game we play. So that was a lot of fun. And the people who left are shmucks.

But it had nothing on the 2011 Wake game.

When they are blocking the views of those sitting along the aisles as they walk up the aisles, or walking in front of people to get out of their aisles, they are ruining the enjoyment of all those people.

I wasn't being nasty. Just pointing out that those fans don't really care all that much about the outcome. If they did, they'd stay.

I feel bad everytime the players look up and see a relatively empty dome.

It wasn't an empty Dome at the end. Yes, some left but it wasn't close to 10k that left. These kind of threads take on a life of their own.

So this is one of the first things you post after an epic win as well.

(Sigh).

Can't we as a group just learn to enjoy a win?
